Biography: Brighton James Raphael Harper was born on June 10th, 2014 and is the only son to Hogwarts graduate James Harper and Beauxbatons graduate Francine Bellecourt. Brighton was born in London and his family moved to Aberfeldy, his father's hometown.
Brighton's father, James, was a proud member of Gryffindor House and upon his graduation from Hogwarts started working at the Ministry of Magic as an Auror. In his career, James would travel around Europe assisting with various Ministry duties. Francine, Brighton's mother, born and raised in the heart of Paris, was a student of Beauxbatons and had just begun a position as a magical medicinal researcher for a French hospital. After meeting and eventual marriage, Francine moved with her new husband to London. Together, James and Francine lived in London until Brighton was born and then they moved to Aberfeldy.
Growing up in Aberfeldy, James was promoted in the Ministry and was responsible for protecting wizardkind within the region and Francine opened a cozy magical bookshop. The Harper family lives in a small cottage on the out skirts of Aberfeldy with various flower gardens and behind their home were rolling hills of green pastures. Coming from a pureblood family, Brighton did not have the luxuries of electronics that many muggles enjoyed but to him, it was normal to grow up with no influence of electronical devices controlling his life. Brighton's family had introduced him to a magical background such as using magic to wash dishes, clean the cottage, do the outdoor work that maintained the preservation of their beautiful cottage grounds, and so on. Of course, Brighton himself couldn't wield any magic for he was far too young to even touch a wand. Aberfeldy was full of wizards and witches alike and what was better was the wild roaming of magical creatures! It was a truely protected wizarding society.
Since both of his parents had very busy jobs, Brighton's parents hired a family friend, Michaela Nuvelle, a Ravenclaw graduate from Hogwarts to tutor Brighton during his upbringing.
Prior to attending Hogwarts, Brighton lived a happily and adventurous life with his family.
First Instance of Magic: Just weeks after turning seven years old, Brighton went to help his mother at her bookshop to restock some shelves. Francine had just received a shipment of books that Brighton was looking forward to helping his mother. Brighton had enjoyed working at his mother's bookshop so when she had asked for him to assist with stocking the bookshelves, he was excited. Upon entering the store, his mother cleared a table for them to start stacking books. Brighton was responsible for placing the books upon the table and sorting them based on the title. Each book would have its own pile to inventory. Brighton was given the first few books, three to be exact of all different titles. When he would start the pile, he turned to get the next few copies but when he went back to the table, he noticed that the three books that Brighton had just placed had vanished! He blinked for a moment and wasn't sure what happened. He dropped the second set of books that were in his hands and when he turned to tell his mother and show him, the three original copies on the table reappeared on the table! Brighton rubbed his eyes, unable to believe what had happened.
