With an Italian mother, the phrase "bella figura" (beautiful figure) is something drilled into his very being, which means that his a clean and well-dressed person, always tucking his shirt in and tying his tie perfectly, and making sure his jumper and cape are nice and neat. This is due to strict and high standards for appearance and representation.

Marcus is a silent boy and a bit private; strangely enough, he has no lack of friends, both in the countryside of Scotland and in the city of Venezia (Venice), but only a very few close friends. Suddenly, all the noise and sound disappeared, his eyes sprang open, and he realized that he was where he had just imagined. He closed his eyes again and tried once again, but without success. He fell back on his bed and opened the book. It felt like only a moment, his door sprang open, and in entered his father, who had a strange facial expression; he looked very happy, but he had big rolling tears in his eyes.
