Appearance:
Diana Pairie has a normal height and a normal weigh --- though you can call her thin --- there are several unusual, and rather rare, features you can see on her, too --- such as her brownish-auburn hair, hanging few inches below her shoulders, soft and wavy --- or the slight color difference in her eyes, the one on the left is as blue as the vast sea, while the right one shows more of a teal blue color, glittered with amber green, like a deep, still lake. If you are not a careful person, she's just another normal teen to you...but if you happened to be one of those who are observant, she can be full of surprises...
Personality:
When people first met Diana, they always thought she was too calm, even indifferent, for someone her age, and that she was not an easy person to communicate with --- which due to that, Diana sometimes miss a few nice friendship in the beginning. But once they know her better, they would find her more caring and easy-going than they thought. Though some of these descriptions may not be the actual her...only very few can actually get into her heart and understand who she really is...
History:
2014.13.6 was one of the Friday the Thirteenth --- the dates that people long believes are harbingers of bad luck... The weather on this particular Friday proves the day was irregular, too. That afternoon, the grey and dark sky pressed down on the earth, although it was too early for night time in a summer day at Scotland. few minute passed, rain came...first only drizzle...then started pouring. And that was the afternoon, when Diana Pairie, alongside with her 13-minutes younger sister, Dalia, were born.
Diana’s childhood was simple—well—simpler than that of her much naughtier sister, who just couldn’t stay put in the house and had a passion for “escaping” the watch of their father and the tutors to run off into the woods or to a lake. Although she sometimes dragged Diana into these adventurous acts, Diana preferred to stay home—reading and drawing... She was a good student—an exceptional one. All her home tutors liked Diana a lot. And these compliments, more or less, made Diana feel proud of herself, and she began to look forward to the day she would get into Hogwarts and practice real magic.
Diana was raised in the Pairie Estate. It’s not the biggest nor the fanciest compared to her family’s pureblood acquaintances… but she likes it there. During usual times, when there are no guests, the house seems somewhat empty or cold. Maybe it’s because of their father’s frequent absence—he’s a businessman and needs to be at all kinds of occasions… Or maybe it’s because of the early passing of their mother. Diana and her sister don’t really know much about her, since she passed away when they were only two years old. Their father doesn’t talk much about her either… especially about how she died. When speaking of this, he only says it was “the most unbearable incident.” The twin always thought it was some sort of an accident, such as potion spills or charm mistakes...but the truth was a bit more complicated.
- A Tragedy
On that cloudy night, Mr. Pairie took his wife to a dinner meeting at one of his client’s houses. Everything was fine at first—people talked, laughed, and drank with joy... No one remembers exactly what happened next… but as time went on, an argument broke out between Mr. Pairie and that client in one corner of the room. Mr. Pairie felt the client’s ideas were too radical and absurd, while the client accused Pairie of acting like a coward with no ambition. Soon—perhaps fueled by all the alcohol they had drunk—the argument turned into a conflict. Both men later claimed that the other pulled out his wand first… but no matter who actually did, one spell—probably lost in control and power due to both men’s fury—hit the ceiling, so forceful that the walls began shaking and collapsing. Everything happened in a flash; people could do nothing but run out of the house. Once Mr. Pairie got outside, he realized his wife was nowhere to be seen. He tried to get back in… but it was already too late. He blamed himself for losing his temper and for not taking better care of his wife, even though he wasn’t sure who had cast the spell. His guilt and self-blame never allowed him to tell his young daughters about what really happened… so he just endured it all silently.
First Instance of Magic:
Diana had shown her ability of magic at a young age...when she was not yet four. That morning, she climbed on a small table that's next to a window --- perhaps to see what's happening outside of the house --- she stood on the table, tiptoeing. But then, she accidentally slipped, her body fall toward the floor... When her father, Mr. Pairie, heard a loud noise from Diana's bedroom and hush toward there, surprisingly, he did not see Diana lying on the floor. Instead, he saw her floating in the air, slowly descending toward the ground...
