Alexandra is 4'6, with dark brown hair, rather pale skin, olive eyes, and a LOT of freckles. She is also very thin for her ages, which makes her parents worry sometimes. She got her freckles and dark hair from her mom and her eyes from her dad; both parents are pale.
Though kind of crazy (hyper) sometimes and not the greatest thinker, she's done quite well with homeschooling, even with such an overactive imagination. Before she started school, her parents had had a slightly heated argument about whether Alex should go to Muggle school or be taught at home. Her parents rarely ever fight, so it's a good thing she never saw it happen. Her mom, Maristella, didn't want her going to Muggle school because they called Magic fake and imaginary, and Rick, Alexandra's father, eventually caved. So Alexandra was homeschooled.
Her father is a Muggle immigrant from America, and her mother is a former Gryffindor Witch. Rick works as firefighter, and Maristella is a Wizarding Youth Councilor on weekends when she's not teaching Alex. Now that Alexandra is going to Hogwarts, however, she does it mostly full time.
Alexandra likes to play soccer (european football) with her father at the park, and secretly practices a little bit of Quidditch in the backyard with her mom. In both sports she likes to play as a Goalkeeper, and is decently good at it despite her size. Of course, Maristella has made sure she realizes that, if she were to get into Hogwarts, she wouldn't be able to play on a House team until second year.
They live in a mostly Muggle neighborhood, but with a few Wizarding neighbors. They have a pet pitbull named Rupert, and he was actually there the first time Alexandra did magic. While playing a game of chase in the backyard, when she was about 10, Alex managed to magic Rupert up into the tree in their back yard. Maristella got him back down in the end, with only minor injuries from the panicked pitbull. Before that, Maristella had been nervous about the fact that Alex might be a Squib—worried enough that she actually got her husband, Rick, to feel the same way! Though they have complete faith in Alex to do well at Hogwarts, Maristella is still at least a little scared for her baby not fitting in, what with how late her Magic appeared.
Because of her parents, Alexandra speaks English with an American accent (Rick immigrated from Oregon, USA), and some Scottish Gaelic that her mom and Scottish grandparents taught her.
(Note to the people in charge of account validation (or whatever it is called: I changed the pfp. Is it okay now?)
