I wear glasses because my eyesight isn’t that good, but I like how they look. My eyes are blue, like the sky in winter. My hair is brown, not too long, and always a bit messy because I forget to comb it. People say I look like someone from a story, but I think I just look like me. I feel happy most of the time. I like being with my family, they’re fun to play with. I enjoy making people laugh, and I don’t like fighting. If someone is sad, I try to help them feel better. I also like figuring out how things work. Even if something is hard, I keep trying. That’s just how I am. Both my parents are magic users. Mum is a witch, and Dad’s a wizard. So I was born into a magical family. That makes me a pure-blood, I guess. In my house, spells and magical things are normal. My parents never hid magic from me, so I always knew I was going to be a wizard too. I just had to wait for my letter. When I was 6, I was in the kitchen with my dad. A hot cup was about to fall off the table toward my little sister. I didn’t think, I just shouted “stop!” and held out my hand. Somehow, the cup froze in the air for a second before falling straight down instead of spilling. My dad stared at me for a while. Then he said, “That wasn’t luck.” I didn’t know what it was, but now I think it was wandless magic. I haven’t done anything like that again, but I remember the feeling like my body just knew what to do.
