Year: 7th Year
Residence: Kyoto, Japan
Nationality: Spaniard & Japanese
Physical Description: He is quite a big boy, with a large complexion and big shoulders. He has dark skin because of his Spanish origins. On his face you can see that he has a calm expression and hardly any imperfections. He has a big nose, green eyes that are beautiful. When he opens his eyes in surprise, it gives him the curious look. His arms are quite large but he possesses the necessary strength and has long legs. He is also flexible, even agile. He moves gracefully, and when he speaks, he has rough voice, making it appear a little older than he appears.
Personality: He is talkative and he always uses elaborate phrases and words that are uncommon. He is known for his romantic side, he is always dreaming of finding his ideal partner. He is a hard worker, loves to enjoy free time and read books. Sometimes he can also be recognized because when he gets angry, he has small tantrums. He is a bit temperamental and can make rash decisions, especially when he feels a strong emotion. On the other hand, it makes up for its intelligence - above normal, and he is flexible. Sometimes his family thinks he’s a man locked in a child’s body. But he may have childish behavior as he can be sarcastic when he is upset, and tends to ignore people.
He is rarely often wrong, and thus has made him develop his stubborn side and is unable to recognize his own mistakes. He is aware that he is not perfect, so he has a side in him in which he has developed maturity in the aspects of his mental state and in taking responsibility for his decisions (not to be confused with recognizing his own mistakes, he takes responsibility for it but never admits them!). At some point, someone mentioned that his most unique quality is that when he is reading, he is not aware of what is happening around him and nothing seems to bother him. He is so focused on novels that he forgets what is happening around him. He possesses an incredible capacity for concentration.
History: He was born in Andorra, an area of the mountains in the Pyrenees. His parents were wizards, so he was raised as a wizard too. In his first year, he had a pet owl in which he nicknamed it Shadow. Everything seemed to be going well until the father started having trouble trying to sell illegal objects, so it was worth being arrested and taken to Azkaban. His mother ended up having difficulty raising Egon, and tried to appeal to their family members living in Spain, but they were cast aside because she had married a lower-class man. Fortunately, they agreed to help on the sole condition that Egon would be raised by the great-grandmother, who was the matriarch in the family.
The great-grandmother, with the help of her granddaughter (who was Egon’s aunt), helped Egon settle in Japan, in a village called Shirakawa-go, which was the place where his great-grandmother Chieko lived. His mother went depressed and they were forced to move to another country in search of a new opportunity. In the village, Egon was noticeably bullied because of his appearance as he had no Japanese features, but his great-grandmother was, which made him have Asian blood on him, but he had no features to point to it. His first instance of magic happened when he was seven, and he had accidentally fixed the mirror, as his anxiety was so strong and his desire to repair the mirror.
It was there that his first instance was recorded. Since his family had raised him with magic, Egon already knew what it was. He was invited to the Mahoutokoro school as expected. It was shown that Egon deserved to study there, given that his great-grandmother was Japanese, which meant that he was a Japanese part. He had been nervous because he feared his experience would be similar to the one he had suffered in the village, having had to be judged by his Spanish appearance rather than Japanese. But instead, it was quite a surprise to discover that they considered him to be exotic and were very friendly with him. At first he had his doubts but decided to give a second chance.
