Devon stands at 5 feet, 2 inches tall. She has blonde hair that falls past her shoulder blades. She normally wears her hair up in a space bun style. Her eyes are a bright emerald green. Her cheeks are adorned with freckles. She wears a dress or a skirt with leggings underneath when not in uniform. Due to the school’s dress code, she almost always wears sandals. She has no issue wearing mismatched outfits or jewelry, preferring to go to the beat of her own drum.

Devon is an extroverted girl who is very friendly. She has no issues with striking up a conversation with her fellow students. She likes to read, write, dance, plays soccer and the violin. She has no issue with hard work and jumps at the opportunity to help others. With regards to her classes, she is very studious and does her best to excel. Over the short time frame since she started, she dove into as many clubs, activities, and classes she was allowed to take.

Devon was born to Andrew and Emily Wallen from New York, New York on March 20, 2012. She was their youngest child. Benjamin (2) and twins Luke and Rebecca (1) came before her. Being the youngest child, her parents would spoil her and give her attention. But, she was also not impacted by this attention. She had the best relationship with her older sister, Rebecca.

The family lived in an apartment complex near the heart of the city. Andrew worked as a research lab technician at New York University, while Emily taught science, also at New York University. The pair often worked long hours away from home, and it became quickly apparent that they would need to help each other as the children grew older.

Around the age of eight, Devon was practicing dancing by herself in the family’s living room, when she missed her step and bumped into ane expensive vase. She shut her eyes, anticipating a loud crashing sound. But, when she opened her eyes, she found the vase on the ground, but not shattered. She gently poked it, hearing the ting noise of her nail hitting the glass. She slowly picked it up, noticing that it was fully intact. “Wow!” She exclaimed, putting it back on the table it was on.

When she was nine, her brother Benjamin first went to Ilvermorny, and the family was stunned. The next year, when Devon was ten, Luke and Rebecca were sent to Ilvermorny. Devon was finally sent to Ilvermorny at eleven, and she was so excited to go! Between the stories and glancing at textbooks, she knew she’d enjoy her time at the magical school.

Devon was quickly sorted as a Horned Serpent, joining her sister Rebecca. Benjamin was in Wampus and Luke was in Thunderbird. Within the first month of attending Ilvermorny, Devon had been successful with mounting the broom and hovering on it. Her first time trying to fly higher, she lost her balance and fell to the ground. Heavily embarrassed and thankfully not hurt, she was determined to excel and not become a laughing stock.
