Physical Description: Lear is a thin boy, quite tall for his age. His pale porcelain skin contrasts with his silky dark hair falling around his face. Just like both of his parents he has dark gray eyes, his gaze intense and unyielding. Most of the time his face is blank and emotionless, but he's not immune to showing his emotions with an annoyed twitch to his eyebrows or a proud little smirk. He always looks put together, his hair styled and clothes fitting nicely.

Mental Description: Lear is very calm and reserved, almost to the point of indifference. He doesn't tend to show too much emotions, his face a blank canvas most of the time. His parents' expectations taught him to always think before speaking, making him more reserved. He has this no nonsense attitude- he doesn't like to chat about unnecessary things and he doesn't approach others first often, but he doesn't mind holding a conversation when he has to. He is very academically driven and ambitious and gets mad if his scores aren't up to his standards.

Biography: Born on december 6th of 2012 Lear comes from a pure blood family- respected and influential. His parents, Cassius and Elira Thornwood, are part of the old wizarding elite—wealthy enough to never work a day in their lives, living instead off generations of accumulated gold and connections. Lear was not a planed child, his parents have already had their perfect child 10 years before him. Jean is a prodigy who sailed through Hogwarts as a Slytherin prefect and now holds a fast-rising position in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. His parents were loving towards Lear but they also made it painfully clear that he had to be as good as his brother, but to never outshine him. Every achievement was met with a measured nod and a reminder of Jean’s accomplishments at the same age. Lear grew up in a big manor filled with enchanted heirlooms, disapproving portraits, and his parents' influential acquaintances, and was forced to live up to his family's good name and to keep up proper appearances.

First Instance of Magic: It happened at one of their family's social gatherings. All of the Thornwood family's acquaintances were gathered- all influential and of high regard. When during the dinner a 6 year old Lear knocked over his glass of water and spilled it all over the table he could immediately feel his father's scolding gaze on him. The conversation at the table quieted down, as his father cleaned the table with a quick movement of his wand. His mother immediately tried to distract their guests with conversation but Lear could hear Jean's cynical snort, and his condescending gaze. Lear felt like he was going to boil over- he was so embarrassed and he knew that his parents were disappointment in him now, but of it all his brother's smirk was the worst. Jean's eyes felt like a physical weight on him, it felt as if it was crushing him. Lear didn’t speak. He didn’t frown. He simply stared at his own plate and then every glass on the table split cleanly down the middle. No shattering. No flying shards. Just sharp, perfect cracks. Overhead, the chandelier flickered once and steadied.
