Physical Description: Her most immediately noticeable feature is her piercing blue eyes. Framing her heart-shaped face is a curtain of long, jet-black hair. Her skin is fair and freckled, particularly across her nose and cheeks, which adds a youthful, earthy charm to her otherwise mysterious appearance.

Mental Description: Lily is clever, reserved, and intensely observant with a quiet strength and a tendency to hang back until she fully understands a situation. She admires her mother deeply, though she’s not sure she wants to become an Auror herself…at least not yet. For now, she’s focused on finding her place in the magical world.

Biography: Lily Ryan grew up in the wind-swept coastal town of Donegal City, where the crashing Atlantic meets brooding hills and folklore lingers in the mist. Her father, Daniel Ryan, is a Muggle and the owner of a bookshop near The Diamond, filled with ancient poetry, Irish myths, and the scent of ink and rain. Her mother, Maeve O’Shea, is a respected Irish-born witch who served as an Auror with the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

Maeve never spoke much about her work, only that it was dangerous and that it mattered. Lily grew up catching glimpses: her mother returning home with hex scars, quiet conversations in code, and the way she always looked as if something would attack them. After several close calls, Maeve retired early, choosing to raise Lily in peace…or as much peace as one can find when the magical world keeps seeping through the cracks.

Despite trying to maintain a “normal” childhood, Lily always knew there was something different about her. There was one time when she was six that she throwing a tantrum and accidentally turned her cousins hair blue…her mother and father were NOT happy about that and played it off that she imagined the whole thing.

Though Lily was raised in both the magical and Muggle worlds, she often felt like she belonged fully to neither. But she found comfort in the wilderness around Donegal, especially during walks through the hills and along the coast. She would often journal or sketch the things she imagined or sometimes actually saw. Developing a fascination with Irish magical lore, especially stories of ancient witch protectors and guardians of the land.

When her Hogwarts letter arrived, it confirmed what Lily already sensed: her life was about to change. She’s both thrilled and anxious, proud to follow in her mother’s footsteps as a witch, but unsure of who she’ll be in the world beyond Donegal..

First Instance of Magic: Lily accidentally turned her cousin’s hair blue at age six during a temper tantrum
