Eli is 11 years old, almost five feet tall and particularly average for her age. She has light brown hair that stretches just beyond her shoulders and curls ever so slightly at the ends. She has dark brown eyes and a smattering of freckles across her nose.

Eli is a little shy to start but is bright and outgoing once you get to know her. She grew up climbing trees and running around in her backyard with her younger brother but was far more adventurous than he would ever be. She isn't necessarily the brightest but she does make up for it with enthusiasm and heart.

Eli was born to Aedan Goldhorn (half-blood) and Leota Colten (muggle) on the morning of April 23rd, 2013. Her father Aedan is an astronomer and her mother teaches mathematics and coaches football at a muggle high school. She has a little brother who is three years younger than her named Rowan. She is close with her brother though is excited for her first year at Hogwarts as it's a chance to make new friends without him trying to tag along. Her best-friend growing up is a muggle from her neighbourhood: Elise Hughes. The family has a grumpy cat named Gilligan (an old tuxedo who had been with Eli's father for many, many years).

Eli's first instance of accidental magic happened when she was a toddler. Upset one day that her father wasn't home to read her a bedtime story, her favourite stuffie (a cute dragon) seemed to breathe a spurt of flame. Nothing caught fire, thankfully, but being a Muggle, Eli's mother panicked and decided that the safest option was to keep Eli and her stuffie in the bathtub until her father could get home. Needless to say, the young girl was excited about getting to stay up past her bedtime.
