Physical Description: Tobias is a well-kept child for his age. He dresses accordingly, his uniform neatly ironed and smoothed out as it should be. standing at around 5'1", his height is slightly above average, expected, given that he comes from a family of larger people. though much of his appearance is pale and dull, there are certain feautures that bring him to life. He embraces the dark curls his mother bore him, just as lively and playful as she. his honey-brown eyes mimicked the warmth that lie beneath his rather dim surface, an great contrast to the tired body he wears.

Mental Description: He had always enjoyed the quieter side of life. You could say he had grown accustomed to the quiet. That part of him shines through more than anything else. He was calm, finding joy in simple things from walking through the fields to watching how gentle the world can be. He found solace in those soft moments. His favorites are those when he listens to music that his mother played for him or when he’s left alone to just create art.
As the silence settled in his bones, the outside world shook him, causing him to find it increasingly difficult to be around people for long periods. No interest in expanding his already small social circle. No interest in associating himself with people . No interest in going beyond brief encounters and necessary dealings.
there are certain times, however, where Tobias finds people as more of a nuisance- irritating obstacles in his way of thinking straight. as time goes on, he grows into a more high-strung individual.

Biography: The marlowe's were(and still are) one of the few halfblood families with power in the wizarding world. However, their name was tainted, their rise as a family came from nurturing the shadows of the wizarding world, aiding dark wizards and forces alike. Though as time went on, they had been basking in their new found light. Tobias's father having passed, his mother worked as a magizoologist.
Tobias was born into the light. His childhood was filled with nothing but joy, his mother and sister raising him up with their kind and gentle care. his father was out of the picture, having died not too long after his birth, however he was content with his mother and sister. He grew up in quiet displays of wealth rather than extravagance. ''Elegance in restraint.' tobias's mother always said. she raised him with the 'less is more' mindset. and tobias couldnt have been happier to follow in her footsteps, fining comfort in simplicity. needless to say, He was nurtured with love and gentle care, shaping him into the soft-spoken boy he was today.
however, the dark arts doesn't leave a person. no, especially not while its embedded in your blood. Tobias's past does not escape him, and with time, he will struggle more and more to run from it.
peronalities and habits: tobias isnt necesarrily a mean person, not generally. Hes considered hospitable, polite and respectful. though normally dismissive of people outside of professional endevors, he can find the means to be kind. This doesnt mean hes always neccesarily,,truthful. tobias has always had a knack for lying- like a special gift bestowed upon him. it was like a talent, flawlessly coming up with stories to get out of uncomfortable situations. once tobias discovered just what he could do with this 'talent' he began to..nurish it. He stumbled upon a book about 'kinesics', the study of non-verbal communication through body language. Years of studying through books, he also studied people from afar. It aided his ability, and soon enough he'd grown a forked tongue, Deceit slipping through his teeth like second nature.

First Instance of Magic:
Tobias's first instance of magic occured when he was about six, the same time his older sister experienced her own. It was cold and dark night, the soft howling of the wind mixed in with the loud chatter of people in the distance. January 1, new years eve was one of the biggest celebrations their family held. Families from all across the world were invited to celebrate together the new year and her birthday. It was a grand feast, every inch of their estate filled with people of all backgrounds, all walks of life. Tobias sat outside with his older sister, running in the gardens playing some sort of imaginary game. All was free, all was fine.
Until his older sister was suddenly silent. around the tall bushes of the garden she stood, looking at something in the ground. Tobias was completely oblivious to the horrors that rested before her, aimlessly walking the garden in search of her. "Dee!! are you okay??" he called out to his older sister, knowing she had a knack for getting herself into accidents often. he turned on his heels - only to be met with his sister violently grasping at his shoulders. "Tobias you listen to me. Go back inside." she ordered him, her chipped, clawed nails trying their very best not to slice into his skin. Confused and incredibly concerned, he held her back, his own clawed hands finding their way to her arms. She looked distraught, as if she had seen death itself. her eyes were welled with tears, but her face fumed with anger. He didnt understand. why should he go inside but not her? he tried to reason, asking her far too many questions about what was going on and why she was so upset. She sputtered, spewing nothing but nonsense out of her mouth as she tried to come up with reason. He yelled for his mother, who had only now seen them together on the dirt of the garden floor
It wasnt long before she was hyperventilating, her body shuddering violently as tobias held onto her as if his life depended on it. He yelled for their mother, who had only now seen them together on the dirt of the garden floor. The tapping of her heels against the ground mixed in with the hushed whispers emmitting from the party inside the estate. Just when tobias thought the worst had happened, the fireworks started. With the first boom, her pupils slit into thin slices. As if returning to feral nature, her body transformed into that of a cat. In her panic, she tranformed again. and again. and again. Rapidly changing forms like a mad man, her cries were a mix of sobs, howls, screeches. it devastated young tobias, who wanted nothing more than to hold his big sister. His mother, who was now wittnessing her eldest turn into vicious beasts before her very eyes, grabbed tobias and yelled. she drew her wand, pointing to her own child. It was like time had stopped before tobias's eyes. him in his mothers grasp, eyeing the wand that laid in her hand pointed directly at his best friend, his ONLY friend, his sister.
the next sequence of things happened in a blur, tobias yelling out, him rushing out of his mothers arms and grabbing onto his sister fully prepared to take whatever hit she mightve thrown at him.
nothing. there was nothing. he looked back to his mother, and if his eyes couldnt widen anymore, they did. there she lay on the floor, her arms dark as if stained with decay, her body spasming lightly. the following events went as so:
guest members approached the three and sent for immediate healing, tobias was taken into the estate in the arms of his older sister, and people were sent home. The night had taken in incredibly dark turn, tobias still oblivious to why. As he looked up to his older sister to ask more questions, their eyes locked. hers were dull, tired, bloodshot. Even then he knew, this was no time for questions. He softly laid against her chest, his hands fiddling at the fabric of his clothes. In the silence, his sister spoke softly, her voice cracked with each vowel. "hey..you just used your magic..thats exciting, yeah.?" she desperately tried to make light of the moment, despite their mother being sent off to the healers. "..im sorry. i shouldve went in." tobias croaked out, not daring to look her in the eyes. she said nothing, instead her arms squeezed tobias closer in an attempt to comfort him.
