Ella Wang has pale skin, dark blue eyes and long smooth black hair that she usually braids into two long plaits down the back. She wears contact lenses- without them, she would have black eyes. She is 140 centimeters tall, but usually seems shorter because of her tendency to duck her head.

Ella seems like a shy and bookish person at first, but once she is more familiar with you, she is likely to to follow you like a dog. She doesn't like meeting strangers or taking the lead. She prefers to blend in with the crowd, even before Hogwarts. Her favourite animal are snakes. Her hobbies include reading, writing, and playing wizard's chess.

Ella's family is pure-blooded. Ella has a little brother named Jayden, but so far, Jayden hasn't shown any sign of magic yet. Ella's family is neither poor nor rich, so she has learn't all the basic skills- reading, writing, as well as swimming and other skills. Since her family is pure-blooded, she has also learnt some magical skills.

Ella's first instance of accidental underage magic was when she was 7 years old. Her brother decided to scare her by lowering a fake spider onto the book she was reading, and Ella, alarmed, turned the spider into the paper and paint that Jayden used to make it. She was half-thrilled, half-annoyed at Jayden.
