First Instance of Magic: Being a pure blood, Carina is expected to be able to perform magic and also accepted to Hogwarts. However, Carina had always regretted not being able to work magic earlier enough to save her father, Julian. Although she is now too young to do so, still, she deeply feels saddened by the fact that Julian had not been able to see her first attempt in magic.

When she was nine, there's a short of power supply in her house, resulting in a complete darkness in her room. Being afraid of the dark, she hid in her blanket trembling in fear, hoping that she could fall asleep. Hours passed, fearful and hesitant, she walk across the room feeling for the switch. The attempt to turn on the lights failed multiple times, as she felt for the light control and worked her fingers on and off. In the end, just before she start crying, the light flicked back on, in a most extraordinary manner. Was it because of the power supply came back or it is really because of magic?
Later to ensure her doubt, she received the letter that would give her the honor to experience the best school ever.
