Physical Description: Alina is a smaller girl, average height for her age. She has shoulder-length, dark auburn hair with a left side part. She has sharp blue eyes rimmed with square-framed glasses.

Mental Description: Alina is shy and quiet. She probably suffers from a bit of social anxiety. In her first year, for sure, she would struggle with being away from home and navigating boarding school. That being said, once she makes friends, she is extremely loyal and empathetic, often more so than other kids her age.

Biography: Her parents are supportive of her, in a healthy way. They don't show any favoritism between her and her sibling. She has an older brother who is non-magical. He can be protective of her, which would make her transition harder. He can also bring out a bit of a reckless and wild side in her.

She excels in science and math in grade school. Alina walks a line between artistic and scientific. She writes and plays violin. On the other hand, she excels in math and her favorite subject is chemistry. Her magical background really flew under the radar because the instances were things that could be explained away by other events. She likes to explore the way the world works, and this curiosity can lead to a bit of self-isolation.

Her favorite movie series is the Pirates of the Caribbean.
Her favorite book series is The Lord of the Rings.

The family has a dog named Bailey.

First Instance of Magic: At age 9, Alina and her classmates were given an experiment regarding the very basics of density. The experiment involved a test tube, a piece of paper towel, and a bowl filled with water. The goal was to keep the piece of paper towel from getting wet, which her group figured out, but when she dunked it back in- it still didn't get wet. Even when she put the paper in by itself, she was always able to pull it out dry.
