History
Della Thénardier was born in France and lived there until she went to Hogwarts. She had absolutely no idea she was going to get her Hogwarts letter; her parents kept it a surprise from her. She had no idea she was a witch until she got the letter. She had so many questions to ask, but she was told to save them for Hogwarts. In the meantime, she closely studied Hogwarts and wizards and witches so she didn't seem like a complete amateur. She always had a small grudge against her parents for not telling her she was a witch until she got the letter. She didn't understand why they did this, and they'd never tell her when she asked. Once she got to Hogwarts, she enjoyed all of her professors, especially her Potions professor, who inspired her to become a Potions professor herself, but she didn't know she wanted to be one until after Hogwarts, really. She knew she didn't want a muggle job, but none of the magical jobs completely interested her, until she remembered that being a professor was an option. She originally went in to be a professor for Care of Magical Creatures, but changed her mind at last minute because she knew she was meant to be a Potions professor at Hogwarts.
Appearance
Della has long, flowing black hair, which is very wavy. She has bright hazel eyes that are close-set and thin eyelashes. She is tall and slender. Her face is heart shaped, and she has very visible cheekbones. Her eyebrows are sparse and thick. She has clear, tan skin. She has a dainty nose and full lips.
Personality
Della tends to be a very curious person, which can lead to good things but also trouble occasionally. She is a very warm and soft person, and you can tell her anything and she won't judge you; she will offer support. When you first look at her, she seems sarcastic and she looks like she doesn't care, but once you get to know her and are around her for awhile you'll discover that yes, she can be sarcastic, but overall she is very sweet and friendly. She means business, so whenever she sees someone messing around, she won't allow it. She wants everyone to do their best and sees the best in everyone. Della can come off as menacing sometimes, but the way she shows that she cares sometimes is tough love. She's very honest and loyal.
