Luke has brown, messy hair and brown eyes. He smiles often and is rather small for his age. His favorite color is blue, which is why he often wears blue clothes.

Luke is a cheerful boy who is usually in a good mood. He is very shy and doesn't like talking to people he doesn't know. This is something he really struggles with as he would like to be more open and approach others more easily. Luke is very fair and it bothers him especially in sports when others don't stick to the rules or cheat. However, he is a loyal friend with whom you can talk about anything. Sometimes Luke has a very jealous and mischievous side to him, especially when it comes to social behaviour.

Before his 11th birthday, Luke went to a normal primary school in his hometown in Cork, Ireland. He played badminton at the club and learnt to play the guitar. Because his parents wanted him to find his way in the muggle world, they told him that his father was a bank clerk and raised him and his siblings without wizardry. So it wasn't until he was 8 years old (when his brother turned 11 and got his Hogwarts letter) that he learnt that his father was a wizard. Besides his brother, he has a younger sister with whom he often spends time.

Luke's first magical act was when he was 6: he was with his family in a restaurant in his hometown and made mushrooms disappear from a pizza. Two weeks later, in maths lessons at his school, he made a wet sponge slap his teacher in the face (luckily, nobody knew it was him).
