Physical Description: Ruby Amethyst Diumme (pronounced dee-um) is an 12 year old young witch who attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She has pale skin, short black hair, pink glasses with two diamonds on the frames each, and a rather big nose. Ruby is taller than the average 12 year old, so she stands out a bit in a crowd. She has buck teeth, so she can often use it as a weapon. She is 5’0”, relatively tall. She is also somewhat curvy. She is attractive, often described as ‘nymph-like’ or an anthousai (Greek flower nymph.)

Mental Description: Ruby is very sassy, lovable, smart, and brave. She is skilled in archery, karate (is actually a black belt,) and setting a fire through friction. Ruby is actually shy and quiet. Ruby is moderately autistic and is quite eccentric and peculiar and very spunky. Although, she is a bit sensitive and can get easily pissed off. Ruby has a pet tawny owl named Kiyo who’s female and one year old. Ruby is also a bit of a hopeless romantic, daydreaming about meeting her dream boy.

Biography: She lived a happy life at home, with her grandma and grandpa. Her mom and dad worked in the hospital, so she spent the time alone in her room. Ruby was allowed to take care of her mother’s cat, Kiki, a male Scottish Fold. As a surprise on her 10th birthday, Ruby was gifted a beautiful Japanese Bobtail cat that was black-haired named Jasper. Before Hogwarts, she was a cheerful girl; optimistic and trying to look at the bright side always. Her friends were 6 girls and 1 boy, whom she had a crush on when she was 10 1/2. She confessed and the boy, Alexander, was weirded out. Ruby never spoke to him again. Opal, Arianna, Jessica, Caidy, Angelica, and Maya were lovely friends although they were mildly annoyed by Ruby's short temper and occasional rudeness since she wasn't the most emotionally adroit. Her school was mostly good, and she liked her English teacher, Miss Edna Vicksen, who was bookish and friendly. Mrs. Diumme worked in a Muggle hospital since she decided it was safer for Ruby. The Muggle hospital was nearer and let Mrs. Diumme care for Ruby more often.

First Instance of Magic: When she was very angry after going back from school (her teacher didn't let her pass the assignment she completed since it was one minute after 2:10 PM the deadline), she actually made a piece of old paper rip by itself. Lexille "Lexi" Diumme, her mum, consoled her and told her a bit of the Wizarding World. Mrs. Diumme was a witch sorted into Gryffindor. Ruby was 6 years old at the time.

More Information: Ruby is also good at writing and was a school journalist for her Muggle school. She has a lot of journals (has 30 blank notebooks in her trunk) and often uses them for random things.

She also doesn’t like potatoes, when, oddly enough, she likes french fries and potato chips. Ruby can also speak fluent Japanese (she learned through reading Japanese dictionaries and watching anime) and Greek (by reading The Iliad and The Odyssey in its original Greek text). She also has Greek ancestry.

Her dormitory in Ravenclaw Tower is Bonelli’s Eagle. Ruby also wants to become an Animagus (however, she is too young). Ruby’s favorite colors are purple, gold, silver, and blue.
