Physical Description:
With fair skin and ice-blue eyes, Zvezda is far more at home in the cold of Eastern Europe. Her white-blond hair blends with the snowy hillsides in which the Morozov family has lived for many, many centuries. Though she no longer lives in the Russian tundra, her subtle Russian accent brings a piece of home to the United Kingdom.
Her clothes once consisted only of thick coats of whites and grays and thick, woolen pants made for comfort and warmth over style. Back home, she doesn't wear shoes, she wears fur-lined boots. And, on occasion, she wears an ushanka to keep her ears warm, since her hair isn't very thick.
Since coming to the UK, her wardrobe has changed tremendously. She still doesn't care about style, but after being accustomed to the cold of Russia, the UK feels significantly warmer to her. At most, she might wear a thin jacket, but she usually wears a thin sweater with jeans or leggings, depending on what's available. Since coming to Hogwarts, she has even branched out to shoes instead of boots.
Mental Description:
Zvezda is arrogant. She thinks that she is better than anyone around her because her family always strives to be the best at everything they do. Failure isn't failure for the Morozovs, it's a mere obstacle on the way to victory.
Zvezda is very insecure about her own abilities. While she believes she is better than others at magic, sports, or even studying, she still feels that she isn't good enough. That she has more to prove. Perhaps it was the mistake of her parents assuming she was a Squib causing those deep-rooted issues.
Biography:
Zvezda spent the majority of her life in Russia. Her family has always had deep ties to Durmstrang, and growing up, there was an unspoken understanding that Zvezda, like her six siblings, would attend the same school. The superior school.
As she got older, Zvezda's magic stubbornly refused to reveal itself. Her oldest brother Igor showed signs of magic as early as six, but Zvezda was still growing and hadn't even shown the slightest bit of potential. Then she was seven. Then eight. When Zvezda turned ten, her parents finally assumed that she was simply incapable of magic. A Squib. A failure. After all, none of Zvezda's siblings had made it to nine without showing signs of magical capabilities, but she was now ten.
Because of the dangers that she would be incapable of protecting herself from without magic, Zvezda's parents had her sent to live with her maternal grandparents in England because it was deemed safer than the snowy forests in which they lived. Zvezda had no choice, so she went to England carrying the shameful title of Squib.
First Instance of Magic:
Zvezda's first time using magic was mere days after leaving home.
It was a week after her tenth birthday, on her fourth day in England. She missed her home. Terribly. She missed the moonlight reflecting on the snowy hills below most of all. She didn't like England one bit, with its gray skies and near constant rain.
On that night, her homesickness grew especially strong and Zvezda did something she'd never done in her entire life. She wept. She sobbed and cried alone in her bedroom as the rain pattered outside on the roof of her grandparents' home.
Her sobs subsided to slight sniffles when she felt a chill in the air. Lifting her head from her hands, she saw snow drifting down from the ceiling of her bedroom, with each flake dissolving on the floor without leaving water behind. She allowed herself to sit and enjoy the cold just a bit longer than was necessary, and she ended up forgetting to even tell her grandparents about it.
After that day, Zvezda assumed the snow in her room was an enchantment made by her grandparents to make her feel at home, so she was entirely surprised when she received an acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
