Aiden was born to Irish pure-bloods Matthew and Saori Beath but fell into the foster care system at the age of three when his parents were incarcerated. After three years of bouncing from house to house, at age six he was adopted by muggle-born wizard Ian Champagne, who raised him in Athlone, Ireland, teaching him what little he knew of pure-blood society and the history of Aiden's family. For the most part, Aiden grew up happy, though he couldn't help but wonder how different his life would have been if he'd been raised by his parents, and ingrained in pure-blood society.

He's shorter than average, standing at only 4'8, with curly black hair and green eyes. He looks quite a bit like his father, inheriting his pale skin and thin face, though his mother is pretty evident as well.

Aiden is a quiet kid, preferring the company of books and music to others. He's smart as well, absorbing knowledge like a sponge, no matter how trivial it may be. He can talk about subjects that he likes for hours, much to the annoyance of some of those around him. He doesn't have many friends, though he's protective of the few he has. He's rather ambitious in certain areas, and Ian has always joked that Aiden would make a great evil genius.
