Physical Description: Cerise ‘Cherry’ Rodriguez-Boudreau has a sort of serene appearance. Her long, blonde hair often flowing freely, frame her face perfectly and highlighting her clear pale skin. Her dark lashes frame her lightly colored eyes, the left a pale green and the right, a clear blue.
Her features are sharp even with the cover of baby fat that has yet to fade. Her eyebrows are a lovely light brown that appears as blonde as the hair on her head.
Her sense of style is yet to fully develop and as a result is always changing, she is fond of light colors, especially pale pink and many pastel colors. She often paints her nails to match something she’s wearing or her mood. As a result of having a fashionista mère, she is also very skilled in cosmetic things like the aforementioned nails, hair, and makeup. Her voice is gentle but firm, laced with a thick but understandable French accent that she takes immense pride in, and she doesn’t plan on ever toning it down.
Those around her would notice that she smells strongly of roses and, ironically enough, cherries because of her love of the flower and fruitMental Description: People who know of her Cherry but haven’t interacted with her would call her nice, or naive but those who know her wouldn’t have just one word to describe her.
Those that know her would use nice as one of the defining words but not naive, she can be nice but she has a nasty streak. It’s not that she strives to be a stereotypical mean girl, it’s just that she has grown up as a halfblood in an all pureblood family and had to build this personality brick by brick after constantly hearing scathing remarks from other families about the situation sure her birth.
Let it be said that despite her understanding and helpful appearance, she’s vengeful, she will forgive but not forget, people ought to be careful when she gives them second chances, she doesn’t believe in third chances.
Now that, that has been cleared up, we can get to the positive stuff. Cherry, in true French fashion, is a hopeless romantic and self proclaimed matchmaker, she loves both the existence and idea of love and hopes to find it one day. Sadly, she wouldn’t know if she found it because she is oblivious to anyone having any feelings for her that isn’t platonic. It may also be due to her mother, older half brothers, and father shielding her from non-platonic love, that isn’t the love shared between her parents of course. Her mère was unsuccessful in her attempts to stop them.Biography: On February 22, 1979, Villanelle Lenore DuPont was born in Paris to Cassiopeia DuPont formerly La Rue, a Pureblood socialite and Nathaniel DuPont, a Pureblood politician.
Not much can be said about her early life because her parents kept her hidden from the public until she went to Beauxbatons, where she excelled and graduated top of her class, she then moved to Cuba to pursue a career as an Unspeakable. As it happens, she also met the loves of her life Thaddeus Rodriguez, a pureblood Auror that was born in the Portugal, and Vivian Boudreau, a self proclaimed halfblood fashionista from France, in Cuba. While it wasn’t love at first sight, they were as fond of her as she was them before getting into a relationship.
While she was their mutual but unmarried partner, they did have 5 children together, the two eldest twins Amelie Lenore and Kieran Gabriel, the middle children (twins) Beatrix Theodora and Florian Maven and the youngest before Cherry, Victor Harlow. They’d moved to Paris after Victor was born so Villanelle’s parents could get to know the children, while they were there Vivian fell with child. It shocked them because she was told her body wouldn’t be able to conceive a child but they were all ecstatic nonetheless.
The pregnancy was a whirlwind because she hadn’t been pregnant before, she wasn’t prepared for being essentially in bed rest. During the pregnancy, she constantly felt lightheaded and more often than not threw up after eating but despite this, healers assured everyone that there was nothing wrong with her or the baby. A few excruciatingly long months later, she was in a hospital in the process of bringing life into the world.
On September 8, 2012, Vivian Boudreau gave birth to Cerise Lunette Rodriguez-Boudreau, she adored the baby in all her pale, grey-eyed glory. Everyone was taken was the small child but Beatrix was even more so.
As Cherry grew up her family doted on her more, Vivian’s pregnancy had gone and made them believe that she was fragile, like a porcelain doll. After her 4th birthday, they moved to Edinburgh after both Villanelle and Thaddeus were offered jobs at the British Ministry of Magic, and Amelie and Kieran were already Beauxbatons graduates while Beatrix hadn’t gotten a letter of acceptance there because it wasn’t yet August 22 which meant she would be going to Hogwarts along with the others.
Once they were settled in Scotland, Cherry was more attentive than in her recent years, she noticed that her older sister, Beatrix, was more protective than everyone else and that her mother was in the process of opening her own business which was the cause of all of the house elves and nannies showing up to watch the rest of them.
Her main nanny’s name was Cosette, she was a fresh Hogwarts graduate and mainly spoke to her in French. Her parents, ever so overprotective, didn’t want her to go to one of the community primary schools which resulted in Cosette being her tutor as well as nanny. She was surprised to know that Cosette had gotten almost all of her OWLs and chose to be a nanny of all things.
Cosette believed in a different approach to Cherry’s syllabus, allowing her to choose what languages she wanted to learn and what subjects to do first etc.
Cherry once heard the quote, “Knowledge is power,” so she chose multiple languages, wanting learn as much as her little mind could digest. Despite her lack of interest in making friends, she was well acquainted with a large number of muggles and wizards in her neighborhood, shockingly she was able to balance her thirst for knowledge and socializing very well.
Her parents were still in her life even if they had busy schedules, her mère, mother, and father loved her and her siblings dearly. Her mother had a successful bakery and often brought her baked treats, and her mère somehow transitioned easily from ministry work to owning a flower shop, and had helped Cherry discover her green thumb which worked especially with roses.
Her siblings, despite being stuck at Hogwarts most of the year, owled her constantly, especially Bea. Her relationship with all of her family members is fickle but with Bea, it was more terrifying but safe, Bea wasn’t mad but she always seemed like it with her strange behavior. Cherry loved her sister but even she had to admit that Bea was a special case and constantly had to walk on eggshells with her to avoid causing her to have sudden bouts of overprotectiveness.
Cherry was a white rose in a sea of red roses, she was the only one of her siblings to avoid the dark hair and eyes that her mother (and mère) have, she was all Thaddeus in the looks department, the same pale skin and light hair and eyes but her father’s eyes are a darker blue than hers (or rather her right eye). They are sure that the green (left) eye came from her father’s side because his younger sister, her aunt Agatha, has green eyes.
Despite the twists and turns of her life, Cherry was happy to have been born into such an amazing family. Once her 11th birthday arrived, she was pleased to get her Hogwarts letter while she was tending to her roses in her family greenhouse. She’d barely managed to contain her excitement and almost pricked her finger on a particularly sharp thorn
Her parents got her a snake and a chimera cat as per her birthday wish. She named the snake after Cosette, whose name means ‘Little Thing’ and the cat was named Bea because of her behavioral similarities to Cherry’s sister. She was briefly put off when she was told that they couldn’t take their personal pets to Hogwarts but relented once she was told by her mère that she would get another pet from Diagon Alley.First Instance of Magic: She had just turned 5 and was spending time with her less than likable cousins, Silena and Zinnia, at her birthday party. Silena had made a nasty comment about her ‘polluted blood’ and how disappointed their grandmother must be, Zinnia wasn’t saying anything rude but she wasn’t stopping Silena, which angered Cherry.
She could feel the blood rushing to her cheeks in an angry flush and glared at the two girls, one moment they were normal and the next, the two girls had neon green hair and were yelling for their mother. Cherry felt bad that Zinnia was caught in the crossfire but didn’t pay her any mind after Bea, who had gotten to the scene of the ‘crime’ first, had picked her up and told her that she was getting an extra slice of cake as an award for standing up for herself. It was her very first act of revenge that started a long line of them.
