The original connection to spiders was inspired by the way that Hagrid has a stronger connection with magical creatures too, though I would need to know how to handle that without creating the next Arachtongue or however you would call that (honestly, that sounds interesting too). Please send me another owl to let me know if the bio is fully acceptable as it is now. I have honestly already enjoyed writing all this so far, so I hope it is up to scratch now. Physical Description
Elizabeth has straight, dark brown hair. She has central heterochromia, meaning her eyes are brown in the inner ring and green in the outer ring of the iris. She has an aura of maturity, which is closely related to her generally reserved nature. Most of the times she keeps her face carefully neutral, which served her well throughout her youth. Elizabeth is 147cm tall, making her somewhat tall for her age. She is rather thin.

Mental Description:
Elizabeth has a very reserved nature and is generally uncomfortable around large groups of people. She tends to refer to herself as Elise, rather than any other name out of disdain to how her father tends to use her full name. She tends to stick to corners of rooms and though she likes gentle music, she usually sticks to silence and nature sounds. Her favorite companions are spiders and books, and she generally loves the ambiance of rain and thunder. She loves cooking, reading, singing when she believes no one can hear her, and imagining grand stories in her head or out loud with the few she trusts. This was usually her mother.

Her usual calm shyness and reluctance to be with groups stands in stark contrast to her attitude when angered, when all shyness disappears. She is known to shout, and when younger she had fits of violence where she used to scratch. A general strong sense and desire for justice lead her to "fight" until she believes that that which was wronged has sufficiently been corrected. The quiet nature and fits of rage, as well as her tendency to talk to spiders as though it is normal have earned her a bit of a reputation as a strange girl among peers. Despite this, Elise has a good connection to another half-blood witch from her community named Lianna, who is a year younger than her.

Elise is generally a well-prepared person who dislikes surprises. She works with a one-track mind towards her goals with care and precision in what she is doing. She despises failure and can be very angry with herself whenever she does, and can easily be as bitter as her father towards people or society in general. Despite her rough relationship with her dad, she has quite a few bits of his personality reflected in herself. She is interested in power, has a tendency to be bossy when she believes herself able to take command of a situation, can act very haughty and is not afraid to lie or shift blame if it gets her something she wants. Despite a strong sense of right and wrong, she walks a line in between, regularly fighting herself in doing either the right thing or the thing that would get her what she wants.

Biography:
Elise lives on a large farmland in the rural magical town/community of Antrim, in an estate that has known better days in a far past, though it is not doing bad these days. Her father's side of the family had a distant connection to the Death Eaters during the dark days. In the dark days, Elise's grandfather would feed the Death Eaters information on happenings in North-Ireland in an effort to attain good standing when "the Dark Lord would take over". Since this obviously did not happen, Elise's grandfather Thomas has been largely responsible for the near fall of the once highly esteemed Garcia family of Ireland. Thomas Garcia was judged by the Wizengamot and was sent to Azkaban for his transgressions, leaving his son Cillian to fend for himself and the family on his lonesome.

After Thomas' trail, quite a lot of magical families had stepped away from the Garcia family. Though the manor is fairly big and the place has quite a large garden, Cillian was unequipped to take care of the place by himself and struggled to find gardeners, cooks or any staff in general to help around the house. He had to do most of the work himself, learning as he went. Throughout this journey, Cillian grew bitter and resentful towards his father and most of magical society, believing power to make your own decisions to be all that ultimately matters. Slowly improving his name through several smart business decisions, Cillian managed to keep the house standing and even began to reenter the society of the upper class after distancing himself from his father. Ten years after the fall of the Dark Lord, the house was welcomed in the upper rings of society again through the work of the young lord of the house, having proven himself quite the savvy networker. Cillian fell in love with one of the maids who worked at the manor, a pure-blooded witch named Emma from a small family. Now they have three children, though Cillian's attitude is as elite and stern as ever.

Elizabeth herself was born in 2012, 14 years after the fall of the Dark Lord. She has a witch sister named Aoife who is two years older, and a year younger brother named Connor. Connor suffered from a auto-immune deficit at birth, that caused him to initially be very weak physically, which required a lot of attention. Several healers had come by to take care of him since a very young age. These days, Connor can run and play like any other child, though he still regularly acts like he is sick or does not feel well. Elise has a strong suspicion that these illness is a lot less severe her brother makes them out to be and are more because he enjoys the attention, but their mother certainly takes them very serious every time. In recent years their father has been growing tired of the charade too, saying that Connor ought to stop acting so vulnerable in the eyes of the public. Though this has made the behaviour slowly occur less and less, it has done little for the familiar bond between Connor and Elise.

Elise's older sister Aiofe is treated like a princess by their father (at least in Elise's eyes), who speaks of Aiofe as though she is a prodigy in magic since she showed her first magical abilities at the age of 3, and has proven competent in several small magical feats since. The generally arrogant attitude of Aiofe does not help the sisterly bond. Elise does not hate her and enjoys learning from her at times, though she struggles to feel proud of herself in her sister's presence, and feels her father ignores her when her sister is near. Her relationship with her younger brother is non-existent, since he cries too much for her to enjoy being near him, and blames him for taking up so much of their mother's time. The fairly isolated nature of the house of Garcia in general, paired with a stoic father with high expectations, a mother who is ever busy with her younger brother, a loveable yet arrogant sister and a pampered younger brother who she blames for taking up too much attention, Elise has become quite a loner from a young age.

When her mother is not busy with her brother, Elise enjoys being near her. She has liked it when her mother sang her lullabies or read her stories when she was young, and still enjoys just laying against her at a couch whenever possible, or trying to help her with cooking, which has always been enjoyable to Elise. Her relationship with her father is more distant. Elise tends to feel a lot of pressure from him. Her somewhat late first magical ability was a cause for stress when she was young (at least when compared to Aiofe), and she is considerably less competent at learning from books or small charms when compared to her sister too. The one exception to this rule are potions and other brews, which she relates to cooking and baking and feels natural to her in a similar way. Elise feels rather stressed whether she'll be able to meet her father's expectations, and has been stressing over her Hogwarts letter for a while, sometimes wondering if it would come at all.

Elise and her siblings are homeschooled by a combination of her father, some staff members and several private tutors that her father has called to the house at some point. Finding teachers was hard considering the location of the House Garcia being in a fairly remote area in North-Ireland and the still somewhat doubted reputation of the house, though the money that Cillian still has access to swayed quite a few solid tutors to come over anyway. Elizabeth is quite well informed when it comes to magic compared to other magical children her age, and though she is not fantastic in studying, she does enjoy learning. She has absolutely no interest in flying (in contrast to her younger brother), and is rather intrigued by the Dark Arts and Potions, having been interested in the colorful bottles from a young age. Her sister's superior studying skills and strong memory have caused Elise to feel jealous and disdainful to her sister, leading her to her thinking that history and such are "just stupid".

Her own quiet and somewhat resentful nature has lead to her spending a lot of time on her lonesome in the large garden and fields behind the manor, usually by a large willow tree. One day when she was still very young, Elise found a large spider in its web in the tree, protecting a nest. Feeling that the critter could use some food, Elise started talking to the little creature and ended up sharing some of her food with the spider. Feeling as though the spider responded through its actions, Elise ended up calling the spider Fesalia, and went back to the tree every day since to have long (one-sided) conversations with the little creature, to the general concern of the staff and the eventual anger of her father, who thought it unacceptable to see his daughter talk to a tree. Explaining that she was talking to a spider in the tree rather than the tree itself did not make the situation much better, though even Cillian Garcia could not deny the odd connection and strong interest between his daughter and arachnids in general. Even while grounded, Elise went looking for spiders around the house, and she was regularly found talking to the little creatures in all corners of the house, feeling as though they understood her, even if they never talked back.

When Elise was 6 years old, she believed she saw a mermaid at the shore during a trip to the beach and has since been obsessed with watery creatures. Learning about singing sirens started her interest in singing herself. It was also this year that Elise first came into close contact with her first potion which she drank for a certain illness, which closely relates her first major magical moment. Though she was much too young to attempt to make potions herself, she has since loved watching her mother or father prepare a variety of brews, and always tries to be nearby when she knows her parents intend to make something, be that a potion, a pastry or just dinner. This has led to an interest in cooking and baking in general too.

Elise is very limited when it comes to friends. She eventually made a connection when she was 7 years old with a younger witch named Lianna Roche, who visited her village from a nearby other place in Ireland during a local event. While her sister was showing off to her friends with several facts about the magical world that she had learned from her father, Elise stormed off annoyed and found Lianna crying near a bridge where she was being bullied for being the half-blood child of a disgraced wizard. Already angered by her sister, Elise pretty much attacked the leading girl bully, screaming first, then jumping her and scratching her arm pretty badly. When one of the girls recognized Elise from her first magical fit, the rest of the group of bullies quickly left the scene.

Elise and Lianna bonded over the experience, and found they had quite a lot in common despite their difference in status and heritage. Elise showed Lianna what she knew about spiders and encouraged Lianna to be kind to spiders as well. Lianna talked about various magical plants, after which Elise pointed out several potions they could be used in according to her own books. The girls were still playing around in the nearby garden when her father came over, angry over the tantrum she threw earlier. The girls have gone to find each other several times since, usually at public locations since Elise's father did not allow Lianna over at the manor much, or allow Elise to go over to Lianna's house at all.

Now several years later in 2024, while her sister is getting ready for her third year, Elise is ready to attend Hogwarts herself. More than anything, she hopes to grow into a powerful witch like her father wants, and she wants to prove herself as a powerful alchemist if she is able to. She is a young spider, still waiting in her cocoon until she matures.

First Instance of Magic:
Elise's first real instance of magic happened at the age of 6.

Her sister, who had grown somewhat popular in the small magical community in Ireland where they lived, had several of her friends from around the area over for her birthday. Elise did not particularly enjoy having so many people over at her home, let alone the fact that no one at her home seemed to have any time for her, so she had already prepared herself with a bag of books, some small bits of food and some other small things she would take with her as she planned to spend the day in the garden near her favorite willow tree, including her new book on potions that she had gotten not four months ago on her own birthday. The book was a sort of interactive excyclopedia of many potions, with big pictures of the bottles and in big letters the general descriptions of what these potions do. It was made for children interested in the topic, but did not explain how to brew any of the potions shown. Despite that, the book was Elise's favorite, and she had made it a habit to carry it everywhere with her.

The other children (mostly girls) who accompanied their parents to Aoife’s birthday were all already aware of Aoife’s rather strange younger sister, though they usually tended to ignore Elise, so Elise herself tended to not mind them too much. She just avoided them.

At one point, Elise headed back to the manor to visit the bathroom. When she went back to the willow, she found two slightly older girls there next to her bag. One of them was holding her book, carelessly pointing at something while holding the book loosely with one hand. The other was standing at the tree, squeamishly swinging a stick at the web of Fesalia, who still lived there. The sight filled Elise with such anger that she first wanted to scream and attack, then felt herself go cold instead, her mind spewing venom at these girls as she did not know what she should do.

While still staring at the girls, the girl with the stick suddenly dropped the item and began to turn green as though she was very nauseous. Not long after the other girl followed, and several moments later they both threw up. It did not take long for several adults in the garden to rush past Elise and begin taking care of the girls. In pure anger still, Elise pushed past the crowd that had gathered, collecting her bag, book and spidery friend, and making her way to her room, ignoring everyone who called out to her or tried to stop her. Though she did not understand what had happened, all she thought was that the girls deserved everything that happened to them.

It was not until later that afternoon that her mother came to find her, and explained that Elise had unknowlingly affected these girls with her magic.
