Thomas Kristopher "T.K." McKenzie is a muggle-born wizard.

T.K. is a kind and confident individual who dislikes unnecessary conflict. He prefers to defuse tension with smiles and jokes, but can become frustrated if this fails and will involve himself physically to defend a victim of bullying. T.K. believes in an innate goodness of others. He is a decent student of average intelligence. Although he may not make the highest grades in class, his determination helps him grasp the important topics.

As a muggle-born, T.K. is still adjusting to the wizarding world. He often underestimates the cultural gap between the muggle and wizarding worlds, and seldom replaces physical effort with magic. In the muggle world, his hobbies include football, field hockey, and music. In the wizarding world, they include Exploding Snap and swimming. He is most interested in studying Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, and Flying.

T.K. was born in Inverness, Scotland in December of 2006. His father, an airline pilot, died in a car accident when T.K. was three years old. His mother is the office manager for a general practitioner's office.

T.K.'s brother, Fletcher, is 16 years old. He has always been one of T.K.'s best friends and supporters. An avid rugby player, T.K. religiously attended his matches to cheer for him. He was the first person T.K. told about his magic, and stayed by T.K.'s side during his preparation for Hogwarts.
