Physical Description:
Myth is a young girl that has light brown hair, that turns darker, almost black in winter and remains a warm chocolate-brown in summer. She often will dye it a deep royal purple during summer holidays, but has let it grow out to it’s natural hue to start school. She has a pair of round bronze-rimmed glasses that fit loosely on her face, and which hides a deep dimple underneath her left cheek. She does not have any freckles normally but develops a sprinkling along her nose and upper cheeks under the summer sun. She has very fair skin and is prone to burning after just 15 minutes in the sun, so is often found carrying a small sunscreen stick in her purse. Myth dresses in comfortable clothes normally and prefers a sweatshirt or graphic tee over frilly summer dresses.
Mental Description:
Despite having anxiety and seasonal affective disorder, Myth is only shy around new people. Once she gets to know someone, her kind airy personality starts to shine and one may struggle to get her to stop talking, especially about the subjects she is passionate about. She’s an avid reader and is not afraid to talk about subjects that interest her, including nature & animals, dinosaurs, and the paranormal. Despite all this, she does get distracted easily, and therefore writes lists of tasks that she needs to complete, calling them her ‘side-quests’. She may love to be organized with lists, however that sometimes means she hyperfocuses on these and will write more lists instead of cleaning her room.
Biography:
Myth grew up in a mixed household of both Muggle and Wizardry, with a Muggle mom and wizard dad. She has two older brothers. Despite having complicated family ties due to her parents divorcing when she was young, and her dad remarrying a lovely witch, she had a rather boring upbringing. She attended a Muggle school up until she started to display an affinity for magic. She met her best friend in school who will also be attending Hogwarts as a first-year Hufflepuff student. The two are inseparable now, and call each other their ‘Twin Flames’.
First Instance of Magic:
Myth’s first accidental instance of magic occurred while she was aged 9 and playing in the garden as she often did. She was talking and playing with one of the little stone frogs that line the garden when it suddenly came to life and hopped away, surprising them both. Her father while furious at first, took this as a learning moment to teach Myth about the laws and rules of witchcraft, and how to start to try and control her magic.
