Ameko has light skin, grey eyes that most mistake for innocent, and neck-length black hair. His hair is a mixture of wavy and curly. Ameko has a very ‘background’ and NPC kind of presence - if he doesn’t make himself known, it’s easy to forget that he’s there. He is about 151.9 cm.
With close friends and family, Ameko is willing to show his more dramatic, sarcastic, and louder side. Although he has a constant deadpan face, stoic and hardly ever changing, his internal commentary is anything but. He can be quite internally aggressive, violent and impatient. He is very secretive, and protective of his things. He can also be quite the secret chaotic gremlin.
With strangers/not close people, he is seen as a calm, composed boy with a shy and quiet nature. Impeccable manners and timidness is what people think of when they think of him, and teachers always tell his parents that he needs to “get out of his comfort zone”. He rarely ever speaks/up unless he absolutely has to when not with close people.
Ameko loves to write novels and read fiction, but extremely dislikes western romance novels. PE is perhaps one of the only subjects he is average at, with all other subjects being brilliantly top-student (even though he extremely dislikes maths and physics), because he doesn’t put in an effort (he doesn’t like sports and is also bad at most of them). However, he will play badminton, table tennis, swimming, and do rock climbing. Ameko also enjoys the thrills of amusement park rides - roller coasters and fear falls, etc.
He likes to learn morbid facts and has a range of unusual skills, such as lock-picking and knowing more than just Japanese and English, and Morse code.
Although intelligent, he can be absent-minded and clumsy with things he dislikes or aren't interested in unless he tries very hard. Otherwise, he is very smart and clever. He can be quite a perfectionist when it comes to his grades and writing.
His favourite colour is purple.
His parents grew up in Japan but moved shortly before they married to England. Ameko didn’t have any friends growing up because he was more focussed on his studies and hobbies, so thus was a loner. His parents are strict on his studies and upbringing, but have let him have free time whenever he gets high/perfect scores. Although he sometimes complains in his mind, Ameko knows they love him and want the best for him. Both his parents are half-bloods, so as he grew older, magic and the history of it were slowly introduced to him.
Ameko’s first instance of magic happened when he was 9, nearly 10. He was carrying his father’s birthday cake when he tripped. Panicked, Ameko gasped - and suddenly the cake was back on the plate instead of the floor, even though it should have gotten all over the carpet.
His parents were overjoyed, not just because they didn’t have to clean the carpet.
