Physical Description: Lyric has well kept curly, dirty blond hair ending around their chin. They have grey eyes, a round face, fair skin, and a light smattering of freckles on the bridge of their nose and cheeks. They are 4"10 and on the lanky side, with some light freckles being visible on their upper shoulders and arms as well.

Mental Description: Lyric is, upon first inspection, an outgoing and mildly eccentric individual. Full of confidence and a zest for life, Lyric tends to leave some sort of impression on people they meet. While full of confidence, they are not full of themselves or cocky. They know there are limitations to their knowledge and what they can do, and it is something they fully embrace.

That being said, they are always desperate to learn more. They tear through books whenever they have the free time too and are known to collect every odd thing that catches their eye. At home, their room is filled with a collection of feathers, preserved flowers, and rocks. They keep a journal where their findings are dutifully noted down, diagrams drawn carefully and lovingly into the pages. Most of the book is filled with the flora and fauna outside their house, with little entries written about his favorite places to hang out.

Those that know Lyric best know that beneath all that confidence and easy-going vibes lie insecurity. They wish desperately to be liked, and cling to any connections they can make like a lifeline. The fear of being alone is what drives them to act so carefree, in hopes that they can always catch a friend or two, no matter how short lived the friendships are. They seem to have an uncanny ability to know what someone is feeling and why. Lyric’s family says they are intuitive, they say they're just perceptive and a good listener.

Biography: Lyric was born on the outskirts of Lisburn, Ireland, to Sheila and Clay Whittaker, and is their third and youngest child. The eldest is Waylon, who just turned 20, followed by Maeve, who is 17. Their parents had initially worried about having a third child with such a large gap between the older ones, but they learned that worry was immediately unfounded as their other children took to Lyric instantly. Waylon and Maeve spoiled Lyric to no end, showering him with attention and praise whenever they could. Despite being in school for most of their childhood, Lyric remembers them being at every major step in their life that they possibly could. During breaks, Waylon and Maeve would tell them stories about Hogwarts. What the castle was like, its history and secrets, their classes. Little was off the table for discussion, and Lyric sat in wonder and amazement through every story.

While their parents didn’t allow them to start practicing magic early, something their mother insisted on, they were allowed to help in the gardens and at the menagerie. They loved to spend their days out in the garden with their mom, taking care of the harmless plants, and in the menagerie with their dad caring for some of the easier animals. These days spent outdoors lead to their love of magical creatures and gardening. Their parents incorporated these activities into their schooling, as they allowed Lyric some say in their curriculum. Reading and writing were often done with books on mythical beasts.

Their mom’s relationship with her parents was strained, as they had a very hard time adjusting to the magical world and her being a witch. Lyric has yet to meet their mom’s parents, or anyone on their mom’s side of the family, but they had a lot of contact with their dads family. They knew their dad’s side of the family had a few seers, but most members of the family didn’t believe they actually were seers. In fact, most of the family didn’t believe in divination, outside of their grandmother. Said grandmother even claims Lyric shares this gift, though they honestly doubt it.

First Instance of Magic: Lyric’s first instance of magic happened when they were 8 years old. Their mom and dad were working outside, and their siblings were back in school. They were playing in the closet in their room, one their mother told them to stay away from since it jammed pretty often, when the door was slammed shut by a gust of wind. Unable to open the door and left alone in the dark, Lyric began to panic. They yelled for their mom or dad to come help them, but it felt like hours that they were stuck in there. It was when the panic reached a boiling point that the door flung open with great force. Lyric expected to see their mom or dad on the other side, but they were both just entering the room. Lyric had done it themself, and after helping their panicked child calm down, the parents took the time to celebrate the achievement.
