Physical Description

Melody owns a very symmetrical face that is decorated with chocolate brown eyes, straight eyebrows, high cheekbones, small nose and defined lips. Her wavy, naturally sable hair is parted slightly to the side and falls just barely above her small shoulders. Her thin-framed prepubescent body stands at exactly 149cm - a bit tall for her age.

Mental Description

The brunette has been the same since she was born. Quiet, calm, collected... but it was only because she was always lost in her thoughts. Melody is a dreamer, but don't let that fool you. She is very intelligent and mindful of reality and her surroundings. She actually has quite the balance between being a realist and letting her imagination run wild. It's because of how truly aware she is that Melody's mind becomes her escape.

Biography

Melody was blessed to have both of her parents throughout her childhood. She wasn't ever less than grateful to have a father to tease her and a mother to hug her. Her parents were proud of her and all she did in school and in regular development. Melody appreciates all they have done for her, for what they could do.

Unfortunately, most of her learning and achievements were actually in thanks to her nanny, Gloria, who was her sole caretaker as Melody's parents worked day and night. Melody often imagined all sorts of things to keep her mind sharp as she passed her time playing alone as an only child at home. She liked going to school because it meant she got to spend time with kids her age - and they all liked to play pretend (Melody's favorite).

Melody wasn't stupid. She was smart enough to understand why her parents worked so much. So, she didn't ever hold it against them. While they struggled to make ends meet, the least she could do was be respectful and learn all she could to be able to make something of herself in the future.

First Instance of Magic

Mythical things like magic always intrigued Melody. She liked to imagine she'd somehow be able to fix things for her parents if she was able to possess such a power. Of course, she knew that wasn't possible, so she just kept it all in her head.

One day after school, Melody came home as usual and headed to her room to do her homework. An important test was the next day, and she really wanted to focus on studying for it. Normally, Gloria didn't bother her while Melody was working, but she thought she might give Melody a brain break with her favorite snack of cheese and crackers. When Gloria opened the door to offer them over, she dropped the tray straight onto the ground. There Melody was at her desk, hands on the sides of her head with eyes closed in concentration, but her books and papers weren't in front of her. They were flying up in the air above her head - miraculously defying gravity.

Gloria decided not to tell Melody's parents the specifics and took it upon herself to take care of all Melody needed when she received that coveted letter in the mail on her next birthday.
