Kobe was born in Cardiff to Jill and Donald Wade. For most of his life he seemed mildly discontent with his life. His parent's strict religious beliefs always seemed restricting to him. His school's subjects seemed inconsequential. The most fun he had came from exploring the forest outside his grandparent's house in the country. 

He climbed the mighty oaks, watched the animals gather by the streams, listened to the wind rustle the trees. He always returned with stories of hanging out with fairies and watching the "eagle horses" play from the top of the trees.  His grandparents thought it was adorable for the first few years, but by age nine they began to tire of his imagination.

His parents pressured him to focus hard on his studies, and church, and the "real world." That was, until he received a letter from an owl telling him he was a wizard. His parents obviously thought he had written it himself, and dismissed it as his creativity. Kobe had had enough. 

He wrote back, and began a correspondence with a secretary at the school. She told him of Diagon Ally, how to get there, how to get to the train, and suddenly Kobe had an adventure to go on! He left home without a word, with his allowance on his hip ready to discover the world of magic.
