Born to an Arican-American Muggle-born witch, and a Pureblood wizard, Sereiyah Riverdell has spent majority of her young life within the wizarding world. She shares remarkable resemblance to her mother in many of her features: Dark chocolate brown hair that reaches past her shoulders, chestnut brown eyes and full lips. Her skin tone is several shades lighter than her mother's dur to her father's Caucasian skin colour.
Sereiyah is tenacious and disciplined, focusing on her studies due to her father's insistence of good grades. She comes across as a quiet person at first, but once she is comfortable with others, she will become livelier. She is not someone who trusts easily. Her father, being a pureblood, taught her from a young age that not all Slytherins are reformed. Sereiyah is respectful to most people her senior, unless they provoke her. Her temper can flair if she finds herself being taunted or at the hand of injustice. It often takes Sereiyah some alone time with either a close friend or a good book to cool her temper. She is a loyal friend, and will stand up to bullies, even if it means getting physical. She loves a good laugh and can be quite humorous with the people she surrounds herself with.
Before Hogwarts, Sereiyah attended a prestigious Muggle school in Ashford. The same school her mother, Evangeline, attended before she had found out she was a witch. Sereiyah has a few close friends from her Muggle school, often going camping with them, or having sleep overs with them.
Sereiyah is an only child, due to her parents' difficulty to conceive, however, it has not stopped Sereiyah from being spoilt. Her father may have signed her up for self-defence classes as well as violin and swimming lessons, but her mother kept her humble by taking her to youth group every Friday night and getting her to help her feed and clothe the less fortunate on certain occasions, so that Sereiyah understood just how blessed she really was.
Sereiyah's first signs of magic happened early in her life. She was only 18 months old at the time and her father was putting her down for bed. As per usual, her father, Christopher, had retrieved one book from the shelf opposite her bed for him to read to her. After he had finished reading, Sereiyah wanted him to read another. When he had declined, Sereiyah balled her fists and banged them on her bed in refusal, suddenly ALL of the books on her bookshelf had flown across the room and landed on her bed.
