Physical Description: Taller than average for her age, around approx. 4'11", and still growing, she was always a tall kid (it won't last). She has pale skin with the occassional freckle/beauty mark(mole??), straight black hair down to her ribs, and hazel eyes. She wears small rectangle-shaped glasses, and has slightly crooked front teeth. She often wears bigger, soft clothes like sweaters, oversized shirts, and jeans. Will wear any color except pink.

Mental Description: Briallen is kind at heart and hates to see conflict. She sometimes has a tendency to take things literally, and has a strong sense of justice. She doesn't always understand sarcasm and can't always accurately pinpoint the tone of voice of others, let alone her own tone of voice. This can lead to misunderstandings and miscommunication, so Briallen often tries to explain herself (even when it wasn't needed). She has a love for animals and fantasy creatures--imagine her joy when her magical father told her that dragons are real. She is witty and sarcastic (even if she doesn't always recognize sarcasm in others), and loves to laugh and make others laugh. She often resorts to humor as a coping mechanism whenever she's uncomfortable, often without even realizing it. Having spent more time in the muggle world than the magical one, she's quite nervous to finally go to Hogwarts like her father before her.

Biography: Briallen grew up as a weird mix of being an only child and a youngest sibling. She has two older half-siblings on her muggle mother's side, but the age gap is large enough between her and them that she didn't really grow up with them, though her oldest half-sibling, her brother, still lived close by and she saw him from time to time. Her parents were strict but not suffocating, and they raised her well in a caring environment. At her mother's insistence, Briallen went to muggle primary schools as a child and thus was very acquianted with the muggle world. Due to his work at the ministry, her magical father often wasn't home, which led to Briallen having more exposure to the muggle world than the magical world. She was sociable while at school, but was often introverted and didn't hang out with friends outside of that unless specifically invited to a hang-out or event. It was sometimes difficult growing up, as she often had a different way of thinking compared to other children, and this sometimes led to conflicts. While she'd never had issues with other kids at school, the kids in her own neighborhood sometimes picked on her because she was 'weird.' Briallen would try not to let it bother her, taking solace in her pet cats. Briallen enjoys drawing and making up stories, and made several of her friends through this shared interest.

First Instance of Magic: Briallen's first bout of accidental magic happened on a particularly rough day. She'd gotten very little sleep, and was already a bit cranky because of it. Then, at school, she'd been struggling to make sense of some of the material, and got told off by a teacher for not paying enough attention. The final straw came when Briallen was coming home from school. Some of the olders boys in the neighborhood, including the elder siblings of some of her school friends, decided to corner her. One of the boys grabbed her bag away from her, to which she tried to pull it back in frustration, which led to the bag ripping open and dropping all it's contents onto the sidewalk. And oh, how this made Briallen mad. On the verge of tears, her magic lashed out. The boy who'd ripped her bag had his face turn as purple as a lavendar bush and his ears comically enlarge. Naturally, this freaked the group out, and they quickly dispersed. Briallen would have several smaller bouts of accidental magic in the following time until her 11th birthday, but this was the first and most notable instance.
