Physical Description: Dee is a very colorful person and her style reflects that. Her hair, while naturally black, is dyed a vibrant blue matching quite a few outfits in her wardrobe. The texture of her hair is normally very curly but the curls are more toned down when they're dyed, nonetheless they are still very much noticeably curled. Her eyes are dark brown and her skin reflects on her mixed parentage taking more after her father than her mother. She is taller than most her age which is something she credits to those that came before her. Despite her preference of being referred to as She/Her, she is actually gender fluid which is another thing her wardrobe reflects.

Mental Description: Dee is a very kind person, always aiming to please and help when she can, her people pleasing personality often gets her in trouble especially when she gets caught in the moment. Her kindness doesn't stop her from being snarky or saying hurtful things, she has a hard time acknowledging when she's wrong and an even harder time verbally admitting it, it seems that even the nicest people can put their foot in their mouths. Dee is very prideful in her appearance, so prideful that she comes off as conceited/arrogant, her grandmother always says that, "At the end of the day, a woman's beauty is all she has." And she took her grandmother's words to heart.

Biography: Benedita Kang-Alves was born in Portugal to Beatriz Alves and Daniel Kang, Beatriz was curse breaker and Daniel was a police officer. Benedita was there to visit her family in the city she was born and Daniel was there on vacation, they ran into each other at the beach and felt a connection, Dee calls the story cliche despite her parents saying otherwise. Both of them were inseparable and moved very quickly in their relationship, getting married after only 8 months together, and only months after the wedding they found out Beatriz was pregnant with Dee.

And only several months later, a little bundle of joy who refused to be wrapped in pink was born, that bundle of joy was named Benedita Vidia Kang-Alves. They'd chosen to live in Portugal for a few years before moving to Manchester, which is when her aunt Aña came to help out, both of the exhausted parents want back to their respective jobs much more energized.

Dee's childhood after that was actually normal, her parents had decided to let her aunt homeschool her in magical subjects and her father would spend his off days teaching her about muggle things.

Outside of homeschooling, Dee had made a lot of friends in her neighborhood, and she'd earned a reputation among the parents as the responsible kid but every once in a while her pranks would irritate them but they'd still crack a smile.

She would even harvest magical plants with her aunt but to her dismay she was kept away from the dangerous ones, her aunt refused to budge even when she begged for two weeks straight. Everything went by normally until it stopped. It wasn't until when she'd dyed her hair that her friends went from distancing themselves from her to avoiding her entirely, she was sad at first but she paid it no mind after she got her hogwarts letter, why worry about the old when you can have the new. It caused quite the scene, imagine seeing a blue haired eleven year old squealing and dancing around with absolutely no context.

First Instance of Magic: It was a little while after she moved to Manchester, her parents had bought her a white teddy bear their hectic life had taken such a toll on their memories, they had forgotten her favorite color. She was very disappointed but she was ready to just pout and deal with it but just as she looked back down at it, she was both surprised and pleased to see it be a beautiful shade of blue. Her parents were thrilled about her display of magic and had gotten her a beautiful brooch, it was blue of course.
