Physical Description: Melvin is short for his age, but what he lacks in height, he makes up for in size. A rather robust boy, he can always be seen with some sort of food in his hands. With dark brown hair and startling blue eyes, Melvin is hard to miss in a crowd of his peers.

Mental Description: Coming from a large Muggle family, Melvin has no experience whatsoever with magic, and he is always nervous around his wizard and witch peers since he feels so far behind everyone else. While not unintelligent by any means, Melvin has a serious case of anxiety and may lash at by throwing the occasional sandwich or soda (but not candy...he always holds on to his sweets).

Biography: Melvin is the fourth of seven children. Unfortunately for him, he was the only boy of these seven children with six sisters who treated him like the baby. This wasn't all bad. The reason Melvin always had access to food was due to his sisters constantly treating him to sweets and snacks. However, this didn't do much for his streak of independence. And so, when he has admitted to Hogwarts School, Melvin was thrilled to be away from the family for a bit. Well, until the panic set in, of course.

First Instance of Magic: The first time Melvin's magic manifested itself was a simple unintentional summoning charm. At the age of nine, his mother decided it was time for a weight-loss diet. During the ensuing argument, Melvin's arms were filled with every single snack in the family pantry as bags and boxes of treats burst through the door and stacked in his outstretched limbs.
