Physical Description: Cathal has quite a stocky build. He stands tall for his age at 4’9, his hair is soft and wavy, and dark brown in color. His eyes are a baby blue, which reflect the sun very well.

He weighs 91 pounds and has a birthmark on his neck in the shape of a chicken drumstick.

Mental Description: He is timid and shy, though doesn’t fail to speak his mind when he needs to. It’s hard for him to open up or talk about things he is interested in, in fear of being judged or ridiculed.

He values intelligence and judgement, that’s his weapon. He might be huge, but he’s a gentle giant who rarely resorts to violence. He's empathetic and tries his best to console others when they need it.

Biography: His father was a wizard, a renowned Alchemist who worked for the Ministry of Magic in his early days. Though after he became sick with dementia at the age of 47, he decided to settle down as soon as possible, finding a wife and having a child. Leaving his life of magic behind, he started a family and had an average job in the hills of Ireland.

During Cathal’s early childhood, he could recall his father’s mental and physical health deteriorating. Often times forgetting names, wandering and even having trouble moving. Because of this, he was never taught much about the world of magic or Hogwarts. He was raised almost entirely by his mother who had happened to be a muggle.

Though she couldn’t hold the boys curiosity at bay, he eventually managed to stumble across some old reports, papers and books of his father's. Containing information about the magical world. From the ages of seven to nine, he would read these books and papers, left forgotten by his father.

Eventually, he was discovered by his mother. Now that she had found out his enthusiasm and interest into this brand new reality, she had no choice but to allow him to explore it. So when his letter came, there was no room for, “no”.

While he loved the history and knowledge of magic, he had also read about the Philosophers Stone, and its creator, Nicholas Flamel. A stone capable of granting eternal life and curing the deadliest diseases. He believes if he could go to this school, he could master the craft of Alchemy, and bring home a method of curing his father who was about 50 at the time.

First Instance of Magic: During a night after school he was grounded for acting out, he was angered that he wasn’t allowed to play with his toys a while longer before bed. Due to the talent show at school, which he and his mother had attended, they got home past his bedtime. He started to swear and throw things at his mother, until he was whooped and sent to his room.

Upset and angry, in need of something to play with, out of his closet came his fire truck, equipped with all of the fire fighter figurines on top. He’s not sure how it got there, as it was down stairs in among the cluttered sitting room.
