Dwight was born in Llannerch-Y-Medd, in a Muggle family. His parents, Siwan and Kyle Runyon, operate a small hotel in the village. Dwight has also one big brother, Percy, who is 6 years his senior.
At the age of 5, Dwight starts primary school. He doesn't well integrate : he has no friends, the other children find him weird. The fact is that the child enjoys solitude and doesn't approach people. Dwight discovers his powers at the age of 8 : three children who were annoying him have been thrown backward, three or four meters far from the boy. One of them was injured, so Dwight has been suspended from school for a week.
Shame and scared of his parents' reaction, he ran away not knowing what to do. He finally goes to his cousin Vincent, a hairdresser in Cardiff. Vincent welcomes him with open arms, listen to his story and accept to host him.
After a month, Dwight went home. Because of their son's behaviour, Kyle and Siwan sent him in a Birmingham's boys boarding school, specialized in the problem children education. Over there, Dwight met his first friend, Kevin. The magical powers of the young wizard sometimes manifested. That's why he was frequently punished and bullied. Fortunately, athough Dwight's parents are afraid of their son, the boy was allowed to come home every summer. He began to get along with Percy.
The summer he was 10, the relationship between Dwight and his parents improve thanks to the help of the boy at the hotel. One year later, he learned that he is a wizard and that he is admitted in a wizardry school. Dwight is of course surprised but really happy.
