Nyx has dirty blonde/Light brown hair, along with blue-green eyes. She's 4'10, tall for an 11 year old girl, though taking after her father for height. Nyx is near sighted, and therefore wears glasses on most days, very rarely does she wear contacts.

Nyx is very curious. When something intrigues her she becomes extremely interested in it. Since she was raised with just her brother and a few family friends, she's not very used to social interaction, nor is she very interested in making friends. Nyx was raised very focused on academics, so she gets mostly A's and B's. B's irritate her, but C's make her panic. She's very slow to open up to people, but when she does she gets very close to them. She hates talking to large groups of people.

Before receiving her Hogwarts acceptance letter, Nyx grew up with her mother, Royal Via, her father, Daniel Via, and her brother, James Via. Nyx grew up being homeschooled and purely around other purebloods, never taught what a mudblood or muggle-born is until she turned 8, until she overheard her parents talking about them.

In 2017, Nyx's brother, James would commonly try to hurt her as a way of getting back at her for having better grades. Once, he tried to throw a rick the size of his fist at her head. The rock was aimed perfectly and she turned around just in time to cover her face with her arms... and hear the rock hit to the right and behind her.
