Physical Description: Standing at a current height of four foot eight, as he likes to claim, Athyn is likely to grow up and be a less-than-average height like his father. He is average in all senses, nothing really standing out about him. His dark brown hair is often messy, longer than what his parents approve of, and frames his face in a way that brings out his greenish blue eyes. His face brightens up with his polite smile though he's usually hidden in a book. He tends to wear whatever is comfortable, opting for dark neutrals in fabrics that don't irritate his skin.

Mental Description: Athyn has always been fairly introverted, preferring to spend time alone or with a small circle of friends. He likes to learn and is always seen with an interesting book in his hand. He is more into his studies than going to Quidditch matches or anything else with larger crowds. He is quite loyal even if he sometimes comes off as someone that is difficult to connect with. He will do anything for those he loves and is very protective. Once you get to know him and get him to open up, he can be seen as warm and approachable, but only if he's interested in whatever is happening in the moment. He tries to keep an open mind and will listen to all sides of a conversation and will usually only express his own opinion on important matters if asked to avoid any unwanted attention. If overstimulated, he can become quite moody and tends to be withdrawn or even completely remove himself to a quiet corner or an isolated room. He aims to achieve great things in life even if it's just for the personal satisfaction.


Biography: Born in the summer of 2012, Athyn was the first child, his younger brother Aleks joining the family a few years later when Athyn was just about three years old. The family of four settled in Westport as a way to avoid the drama of large cities. His father, Matthew, is a local fisherman while his mother is a school teacher. Athyn had a fairly easy upbringing. As a half-blood wizard, Athyn gets his magical blood from his mother's side. Opting out of working in the magical world and, instead, working a muggle job at the local school, Athyn and his brother still received a mixed education growing up, learning both what was expected of them in the muggle world but also learning important things about the wizarding world. Because his mother's constant studying schedule in his early years, he attributes his love of reading and all things learning to how he was raised. He has recently been accepted to Hogwarts and is both excited and nervous at the new opportunity.

First Instance of Magic: All early signs of magic from Athyn were small enough to not be very noticeable. Things disappearing and appearing somewhere else, he always assumed he and his family just misplaced things all time and had great luck finding them later on. The first time this happened was when he was roughly eight years old when his father's car keys disappeared from their place on the entrance way table when Athyn didn't want his father to leave for work one day. The keys ended up on top of the fridge later that morning.
