Fairly short black hair with a middle part haircut that never sits well, according to him.
A pleasant and happy face. Quite skinny for his age, but not necessarily underweight.

Optimistic and hard-working, but has some sort of anger issues. Despite his friendliness, Marcus has yet to make a friend. It could possibly be because of his passion with studies, which makes his classmates refer to him as 'an annoying nerd'.
Biography:
Marcus comes from Muggle parents. His father, Michael, is a loving dad and accountant who only wants to see him happy, that's why he always makes funny jokes and spends most of his time with him. His mother, Elizabeth, is a judge and comes home almost always exhausted. Marcus always cheers her up and takes naps with her.
As an 11-year old boy, he was always interested in history and music, passions which came from his father, who was also a music and history enthusiast. Sometimes, his history research takes a lot and he ends up spending 2 or 3 hours on his phone. He also loves chess. He discovered it when he was 7 and started playing it since. Now, he is part of a chess club where he takes lessons with coaches and plays in tournaments.
First Instance of Magic:
While in 4th grade, Marcus was playing chess on his phone. Suddenly, his bully appeared right in front of him. He started harassing him, calling him names and stole his phone. Marcus then slapped him, quickly grabbed his phone back and started running until he got to the gym where they usually had PE class, but since it was raining, no one was there. When his bully got there, he started strangling him, pushing Marcus to the ground. In that moment, from the rage and will to be left alone, something in Marcus took over and his bully's shirt started burning. His hands somehow started producing fire, which burned his bully. He quickly took of his shirt screaming from fear and threatening to kill Marcus.
Experiencing the shock and confusion from what had just occured, he left school running and went straight home, lying to his parents that the teacher had told them to go home early.
His bully was sent to hospital, suffering several burns. No one would even touch Marcus after that. Even though he was not bullied anymore, he knew people were just scared of him and what he would do.
Then came his 11th birthday, 6 months after the "incident". A wizard appeared at the Phoebus doorstep. He claimed to be part of The Ministry of Magic and that they have noticed unauthorized use of magic from Marcus. Since Marcus never said anything about it, his parents were confused, even more that they were Muggles and didn't know what magic or The Ministry was. Marcus did have to reveal the truth to his parents and the wizard talked to his parents about Hogwarts.
