Physical Description: He has light brown hair and dark brown eyes. As a muggle-born, Ed is used to wearing muggle clothes such as T-shirts and shorts for casual wear.

Mental Description: He is normally quiet and introverted, but opens up to others at times. Beneath his apparent shyness lies a kind and passionate heart. Growing up in a muggle family has led to a lifelong love for reading, which contributes to his proficiency in English. He also enjoys singing but has severe stage fright despite having a beautiful and soft voice.

Biography: I was born on 22nd May 2012 in Limerick, Ireland, to Stephen, a professional footballer (a sport in the muggle world), and Aoife, a schoolteacher. I have an older brother, Seamus, who is 14 years old and doesn't have magical powers. Before I went to Hogwarts, I had a German Shepherd named Chase but I sadly had to leave him at home to continue living with my parents and brother.

I love all four of them - Dad, Mom, Seamie and Chase. In the muggle world, Dad is really rich due to his profession, so he was able to provide me with a comfortable home growing up. I think I inherited my personality from Mom though - she's kind, nice and kind of quiet, (hopefully) just like me. Seamie was a great brother to me before I entered Hogwarts - but after he knew that I had magical abilities and he didn't, he seemed a bit jealous. We still keep in touch though. And as for Chase, I can't put into words how much I miss him.

Growing up, I didn't have many friends, and the few I had before Hogwarts were mostly my playmates from when I was young. Now that I'm in Hogwarts, I know nobody since no one came with me.

First Instance of Magic: When I was 10 years old, I encountered a word that I had never seen before while reading: "ambidextrous". As per my habit, I immediately put down the book to go get my preferred dictionary, but it turns out Seamie was already using it for his homework. Therefore, I resorted to getting one of the heavier dictionaries from the bookshelf by standing on a stool. However, I overestimated my strength and accidentally dropped it. Inexplicably, it bounced off my feet and when it hit the ground it didn't make a noise - Seamie didn't even notice. That was when I knew magic existed.
