Withdrawn, quick-witted, and self-destructively independent, Archer has no better friend than himself and his cat. Determined to display strength, facade or not, he pushes himself to excel both intellectually and athletically and often when the expected results failed to be achieved, rots in a wallowing cycle of pity.
