Calypso “Caly” Crescent has light green dyed wavy-hair and bangs. With a light tan skin, dark green eyes, and ears pierced with something shiny and star-like. An average 4’9” height since she was 10, but due to being way too skinny for her age, seems taller than she is. Naturally pinkish red lips and medium-haired eyebrows, with slightly long hands. Doesn’t mean to, but sometimes has a RBF, or stares a little too much due to her being observant with everyone. Has a very high pitch voice.

Calypso means Saturn, as it was named after one of Saturn’s moons. Caly (her popular nickname) is usually characterized as a very creative (realized she wanted to be an author since she was 6, and has wanted supernatural abilities through reading them in books), smart (took official IQ test at 4-years-old and called “extremely smart” by test-givers, or a living computer with a bunch of facts and information stored randomly in her brain based mostly on her passions) quirky (very out-of-box thinking and is a living idea generator), and shy individual (…don’t ask how many friends she has). She is very mysterious even to close friends and family, as her thick walls hold an issue to try and get her to open up. However, get her talking about her passions, and the previously very shy girl will turn energetic and giddy to share all her thoughts and ramblings with you for hours on the subject. No, you’ll never ever hear her cuss, and she is kind to a point where she easily lets others step all over her. However, with close friends and family, she happily banters with them to the point where people who know her closely, are scared when she gets in debate-mode (an absolute savage). She is a person who is ruled by logic, thinking, abstract ideas and imagination, and definitely doesn’t understand nor tinker in the emotions department. Although Calypso has so much infinite patience like a rock, who slowly moves through life without rush, there is a limit. Her limit takes A LOT to get there, and you have to be a truly horrible person to get her there, as even her bullies didn’t even manage to make her break her limit yet. Her biggest pet-peeve are people of less intelligence, or bad leaders (which is why she is often forced into that position). Gets all A’s and often does 90% of the work on group projects, feeling too guilty to tell the teacher about her slacking classmates. Spends most of her free time locked up in her room with her personal and needed alone time, often reading and learning about her passions. If not, hiking in the mountains (resident mountainous forest girl). Very low confidence and doesn’t show her affection… tsundere, except when buying gifts or making them for friends. Caly is an INTP-T (Mbti personality) who finds passion in reading/writing stories, astronomy, and magic. Her life since discovering Hogwarts is spent discovering all the magic possible, and finding the secrets and answers to the mysteries of the universe.

Pre-Hogwarts, Caly as an introvert, was so shy that she didn’t have many friends growing up. She only had a few childhood friends, but only kept contact with a few since going to Hogwarts. Those three she kept contact with are her best-friends, despite being long-distance. Her family consists of a mom and dad, and being the only-child. Although she’s had a few dogs, she is pet-less for six-years now since her family had to get rid of them due to moving to London from Canada when she was six. Calypso has all of her family back in Canada, but is excited to get a pet in Hogwarts. Middle-wage and muggle family who only knew magic from what they thought were fictional books in the library. She had a regular childhood growing up, but hardly had a life before Hogwarts.

It was one of those days again. A boring, uneventful day, and with both parents working she was lonely at home without any company. With youthful nine-year-old energy in her recently-moved in home at London, Calypso found herself looking out the window again. After reading a book set in a fantasy world with mages and elves, the day dawdled by until it was around 10 at night. Her parents had come home around 4, and were currently cooking Hot Pot, perfect for the winter. Finding sudden inspiration from the book she just finished, Caly sat down and closed her eyes, daydreaming with a notebook and quill in front of her. The fictional scene she envisioned went just like this,“pointed ears and tall, skinny people of multitude of colors: light pinks, purples, greens, blues, and whites like snow swarmed downtown. Wrapped in thick cotton, wool boots, and four-fingered gloves stood the famous party. Elves and other creatures rushed to see a glimpse of them, even in the frighteningly chilly weather. Their swords and staffs sparkled and shined, even though the air was cold enough to see your breath, foggy, and dark enough to barely see except for the lanterns. One of a kind magic, and as the party greeted and signed autographs… little miniature fans floated down from the heavens in all shapes and sizes: crystals, diamonds, and angels alike printed in patterns of the snowflakes. The town was engulfed in white purity after the party’s victory. Perhaps it was a blessing and acknowledgment of their win.” When Calypso opened her eyes from the nice daydream, wanting to write it down, the last thing she expected stood there long and proud. The letters sprawled evenly and perfectly on the page, ink appearing like magic. Was it real? Had…
Had her thoughts turned from thoughts in her head, to ink on a page?! It shouldn’t be possible, but the writing perfectly captured the picture in her head she had envisioned. More so, it looked as if the quill hadn’t moved from its earlier position at all. Maybe.. she should give her eyes a break. Too much reading, perhaps? Her parents, none the wiser, only told her to stop writing and eat dinner. On the way over, Caly could swear she saw the smallest glimpse of a snowflake floating down… gently, effortlessly, like a dream — teasing her.

Contrary to that, many people say Calypso was born in spring, due to the fact she seems to bring life after the cold winter season.
