Anastasia is a pretty young girl with long curly brown hair, bright blue eyes, and very white skin. She has freckles speckled on her face, and wears glasses. She mostly dresses in pastel colors, but enjoys mixing them with her black Hogwarts robes.
Anastasia looks at the world with rose colored glasses and may come off as a bit naive. However, she isn't stupid and studies very well and understands that there are bad things in the world, but chooses to look at what is good to outweigh the bad. Anastasia always tries to support friends, and even enemies when she sees they are having a rough time.
Before coming to Hogwarts, Anastasia had an atypical life. Her father was an American who met her mom while on vacation. Her mom was a full blooded witch, as was her father. However, her father was a squib and could produce no magic. He was disowned in America because of his situation and considered not magical, making Anastasia a 'half blood'. Her mother's family did not want her mom to marry her father, so in retaliation they got married and abandoned magic. Anastasia had no knowledge of magic at all and grew up in a muggle lifestyle. Her grandparents still resent her parents, but they tolerate and even care for Anastasia as they think I can 'bring back their honor'. She didn't have many friends as her mom was always worried because Anastasia would often have slight magic incidents. It first started in her kindergarten class when one of the kids ripped up a drawing she made. Anastasia wasn't sure what happened but he ended up hanging from his pants on the light fixture. Her mom immediately had Anastasia transfer schools. However, despite their efforts, Anastasia still got accepted into Hogwarts, much to her delight (and confusion).
