Long red hair with streaks of blonde, usually worn naturally in a wavy style. Blue-grey, almond-shaped eyes with long, dark lashes. Straight, angled eyebrows that give off a stern expression and a button-shaped nose. Rosy cheeks and lips, with a diamond-shaped face and chiselled jawline. Is 12 years old, standing at 4'8, and has a slim yet athletic build.

She is very bubbly and excitable and enjoys spending time with friends. She is confident and bold too, and isn't afraid to speak out, even if it usually lands her in trouble. She is very protective of her friends and would do anything for them, always putting others before herself. She's incredibly intelligent, particularly excelling in Charms, Potions and Herbology, yet gets bored easily and struggles to focus sometimes which often leads to her being told off by teachers. Very good at putting on a fake smile as she sometimes finds it difficult to deal with her real emotions and doesn't like to accept them, especially when she's sad or scared. Her favourite thing to do is play Quidditch and prank other students.

She was born in Godrick's Hollow, a very well known young girl in the area. She often helped the local shopkeeper and took home stray cats to look after, much to her mums annoyance. Her homelife is quite disjointed. Her mum and dad divorced when she was 7 and has lived with her mum and three brothers since. Her oldest brother is 19 and hops around from job to job, usually finding himself caught in mischief and trouble - something that all the Vern siblings have inherited. Her second oldest brother is 17 and loves to annoy her. He is usually found skipping school and meeting up with friends. Her other brother is younger than her, aged at 10 years old. He is very bubbly and sweet, but often goes off into the woods surrounding their house and takes forever to finally return after spending his time catching butterflies and other bugs. Her dad is distant and only comes to see them every 6 months or so. Even so, she remained hopeful and was the person that kept her family afloat, especially when struggling for money. However, recently, her mum got a job with good pay and their struggles have been a lot less prominent. She plans to one day get a sufficient job that will help her mother in terms of money. Recently, her mother, her brothers and her moves to Llantwit Fardre, Wales for a fresh start to get away from their old home and begin a new chapter of their life.

When she was 7, she found out about her mum and dads divorce. At first, she didn't quite understand, and was very confused and upset. But once she finally understood, all she remembers feeling was an overwhelming sense of anger. She couldn't believe it was happening and was angry at her dad leaving her. She thought he didn't like her and her siblings any more. Therefore, storming up to her room that night, she angrily sat on her bed and picked up a book. Instead of reading it though, she just stared and it and gripped it tightly and before she knew it, in the corner of one of the pages, a spark could be seen. Then, it grew and grew until the whole book was on fire. Scared and confused she threw it out the window and called for her mum, who happily informed her that it was a sign of her magical abilities.
