BACKGROUND: Natalie was the middle child, with an older sister, Maria, who was supportive of her magical talents, and a 9-year-old younger brother, James, who couldn't quite grasp the magical world. Maria, being a muggle, was fascinated by Natalie's magical abilities and encouraged her to embrace her newfound identity.

However, Natalie faced challenges at home, particularly from her parents. Her mother, a devout Christian, disapproved of the magical world and tried to keep Natalie from attending Hogwarts. She struggled to reconcile her religious beliefs with the idea of her daughter being a wizard. Natalie's father, while sharing some of her mother's concerns, tried to be more understanding and supportive. He attempted to mediate between Natalie and her mother, emphasizing the importance of accepting her magical abilities.

Natalie's first magical moment occurred in the family's living room. One evening, frustrated by her mother's disapproval, Natalie reached for her favorite book on the shelf. To her surprise and the amazement of her family, the book floated off the shelf and opened to her favorite page. This magical display only heightened the tension in the Mendoza household.

Despite her mother's attempts to prevent her from attending Hogwarts, Natalie's acceptance letter arrived. Her excitement was met with disapproval, and her mother even blamed her for the magical abilities she couldn't control. The situation at home became strained as Natalie's departure for Hogwarts drew nearer.

Natalies father couldn't bear to see his daughter in such a depressive state, so he had a long conversation with her mother. After two days of arguing, Natalies mother finally agreed to give her child consent the only reason being she wanted her daughter to control her magic and after graduating Hogwarts never use magic again.
