Physical Description:
When starting at Hogwarts, Eden let her brunette hair fly loose and straggly to her shoulders. She is 4’ 7” tall, has gentle grey-blue eyes, a square jaw and dimples. Her tomboy lifestyle means she has a lean, active build.
Mental Description:
Strong-willed, intelligent and curious, meaning Eden often gets her way by either convincing people to agree or working out a different way to reach her goal. She is close knit with a small group of friends but will talk with anyone. She likes to make people happy, but sometimes forgets that when focused on her goal.
Biography:
Eden was adopted by a muggle family at age 2 by Karen and Michael Scott. They, with their 1-year-old called Daniel, lived in a cul-de-sac cottage on the outskirts of Worcester. Eden has an incredibly close connection with the Scotts and calls Karen and Michael “mum and dad”.
When Eden’s Hogwarts letter arrived Eden also received a letter from her birth mother, who wrote it before her death. From that Eden learnt that both her birth parents were squibs from pure blood families. They didn’t want children, as they had been threatened not to damage their pure bloodline with squib offspring.
When her birth parents married they changed their name to Peverall - Nigel and Lucinda Peverall. Nigel worked as an accountant and Lucinda as a police sergeant. Lucinda became pregnant at 47. When Eden was 2-years-old there was a suspicious and deadly fire in their home at night. Luckily Eden was staying with her muggle godparents - Karen and Michael Scott.
Eden then grew up unaware of the wizarding world. She was surprisingly skilled at school, even though she never studied, always reading fiction or outside playing with Daniel and their neighbour, Jordan.
First Instance of Magic:
Eden’s first instance of magic happened during an argument in the Disney shop during a visit to Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, when she was nine. They were in the Queen’s Arcade and as it was Daniel’s birthday the Scotts let Daniel pick a cuddly Dumbo from the giant tower of toys. Eden was tired and felt forgotten as Daniel had been treated all day. She wanted a toy too! It built and built until she was screeching. Karen pulled her to the side and told her to take a breath.
Eden took a deep breath, feeling anger and determination that she was going to win. When her Mum turned to look for Daniel Eden stretched out towards the nearest toy, but it was still an arm length away. She desperately wanted it right now! The bear turned to look at her then jumped from the pile towards her. Eden pulled back in horror and screamed.
Eden didn’t understand what happened. It scared and thrilled her. Did she make that happen or ..? Eden’s parents hadn’t seen what happened, but Daniel’s awestruck expression told Eden that she'd definitely done something out of the ordinary.
