Physical Description: Mairead (a.k.a. May) gets her long jet black hair and brown eyes from her father's side, but her heart shaped face from her mother. Her pale skin is peppered with freckles. At age 11 she stands at 4' 6", and weighs 78 - 80 lbs.

Mental Description: May deals with anxiety on almost a daily basis, and her parents have supported and helped her find techniques to combat and work through it. The thought of being away from home for several months has caused her anxiety to come back in full force, making her rather shy around the other students.

She loves plants, and has a small jungle of non magical house plants in her room back home. Tending to them is one of her favorite past times, as it helps calm her anxiety and refresh her mind. If she gives you a cutting of one of her plants, it's a sign that she appreciates and/or trusts you.


Biography: May was born to Erin & Juniper Thorne, the daughter of a muggle and wizard, respectively. She had a fairly happy home life, knowing about the magical world from a young age. Erin insisted her daughter get a non magical education at least until she had to go to Hogwarts, so May was sent to a muggle public school until her letter came. While she was and still is excited at the idea of learning magic like her dad, she has never been away from her parents/home for more than a fews days at a time.

Her love of plants was greatly encouraged by her maternal grandmother, and she would often spend weekends at her grandma's old cottage out in the country. It was her grandma who gifted her with her first house plant.

First Instance of Magic: When May was 5 years old, she tripped off a platform at a local playground. Instead of falling and getting hurt, she gently floated to the ground and was promptly scooped up by her father, who made some hasty excuses to the other kids & parents watching before hurrying home to tell his wife the exciting news. May only registered what happened after the fact, and was somewhat scared of heights for a few years afterwards.
