Uri was born to his father, Rowan Davies, a muggleborn wizard from Liverpool, and his mother, Miriam, a pureblood who was originally born in Tel Aviv before moving to England when she was three years old. Uri has wavy brown hair that he parts to the left and ever so slightly tanned skin. He has dark eyes that, while they convey warmth, also portray a slightly devious nature depending on his mood. He is slightly short for his age and is of average weight.

Uri has a layered personality. At the top is his rebellious streak. He simply doesn’t like being told what to do and will flaunt authority whenever given the opportunity. He isn’t a chaos gremlin but he considers it a responsibility to whip up some disorder every now and then. This rebellious streak also harbors the more shifty side of his personality. He can be fairly devious and is not above using deception to achieve his ends. He’s not inherently bad (certainly not good) - he just tends to think of himself above some rules and know what he wants, and sets out to get it. Finally, he is both industrious and intelligent. While his IQ doesn’t break the bank, he’s able to combine those two to come up with creative solutions to whatever issues he may be having at the time.

His home life was truly idyllic. His parents weren’t rich, in fact at times they barely scraped by, but he never went hungry and most of the time he wanted for nothing. Miriam became a functionary at the ministry of magic. Rowan bounced around different shows in Diagon Alley and Hogsmede, often working as a stockroom clerk or cashier until he outstayed his welcome. No one could ever prove it but there were suspicions following him around that suggested items might get lost around him. These suspicions were of course well founded. Rowan’s father was a muggle who was a Logistics Officer in the RAF and continued to ply his trade of logistics once he got out, loosely working for some of the underworld elements in Liverpool. These skills were passed down to Rowan and he did much the same thing as his father. Nothing too big or too egregious but enough to ensure his family was well taken care of. However, Rowan was determined that his son do better than him and resolved to do as much as he could ensure that Uri wasn’t exposed to the shadier side of his life.

Uri’s parents were determined that he would not be raised by other friends and family or a nanny. Once Miriam had gone back to work, they would set their schedules so that there was always someone home to take care of Uri. He was always well supervised and well taken care of. When he became school aged, they agreed he should go to a muggle primary school. That way he would learn about that part of his heritage and how that world functioned, and would also have a basic education to build on once he went to Hogwarts.

He had his first instance of magic when he was 5 years old. His parents had bought him five balloons for his fifth birthday party. His parents had hired a muggle magician to do magic tricks for Uri and some of his muggle friends from the neighborhood. For whatever reason, Uri was particularly enamored with the magician pulling the long, interlinked, chain of handkerchiefs from his sleeve. Finally, when the last one was pulled, Uri was so full of mirth and laughing so hard that two of the balloons - the red ones - suddenly popped. They matched the color of the last scarf. They played it off to the muggles that it was just a freak accident but his parents knew then and were ecstatic.
