Physical Description: Ella has shoulder-length, blond hair. She has gray-blue eyes and a rather skinny face. With a typically fair complexion, she has an almost sickly look about her. Ella dresses simplistically - typically you'd see her wearing a black t-shirt with dark blue jeans and sneakers. At 143 centimeters, she's an average height for an 11-year-old girl.

Mental Description: Ella has always been an introvert, almost on the agoraphobic side of social interaction. She prefers the company of books and is rarely seen at large gatherings unless absolutely necessary. While she does have friends, she takes a while to warm up to people. Her history is dotted with friends who have disappointed her, hence her initial distrust of others. Once she trusts you though, she's loyal to a fault. Even if you are her best friend, she'll need time to recharge if she spends more than 3-4 hours with you. It's nothing personal - she's just used to her own space as an only child of two career-driven parents.

Biography: Ella is an only child. Her father is a muggle and her mother is a witch. Her parents didn't spoil her and have always instilled a sense of discipline. They always supported her love of reading. When she got her letter from Hogwarts, her mother and father were very happy - attending the school was never questioned. While Ella is looking forward to her time at Hogwarts, her entrance into the wizarding world is bittersweet and a bit of a heartbreaker - she'll have to leave behind her best friends, Amanda and David.

First Instance of Magic: Ella's first experience with magic occurred when a group of older teens made fun of her outside of the public library in her hometown on a dreary, rainy day. She'd borrowed about ten books, and they'd called her names. Her fear and desire to stand up for herself clashed; next thing she knew, the rain gutter of the building (which, as far as any one knew, was firmly attached to the wall) came loose. The teens' heads were covered in muddy rain water and Ella had an opportunity to make a quick escape.
