Raleigh Wilkerson is slightly tall for his age group, and he has long brown hair with small curls. He wears it down to the top of his neck, and he could sometimes be seen with a small braid that goes over his left ear, usually around the holidays. He has dark green eyes as well. He is of Asian descent with his mother being Korean and his father being born in Scotland. Raleigh likes wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans for his casual-wear. He doesn’t like dressing up fancy or with overly expensive clothes, mostly because he can’t afford them. But in his school attire he likes to wear a scarf and doesn't like wearing his vest.
Raleigh is by all concerns, pretty upbeat and happy around his friends, He loves magic and loves his friends. But he also has his flaws. Raleigh is quite bad at communication, and has a fear of being left alone and being forgotten by his peers. He doesn’t really like sports that much, wizard-like or muggle. He prefers to be in his small group of friends more than anything, and his ‘interesting’ tendencies to be abnormal causes him to not develop strong connections with his peers. He also can be pretty smart at times, though this smartness is more booksmart than with his common sense/street smarts.
Raleigh lived a pretty magic-less life until his father came back from his military deployment. When he moved to Scotland to be with his close family he was finally exposed to the true extent of magic. His father, Noah Wilkerson, was born in Scotland as a muggle and joined the military after high school. It was during his travels that he met Raleigh’s mother, Yun Wilkerson (formerly Su-Rang), in South Korea. They were married soon after and then moved to Britain, where Raleigh was born. Raleigh, stated previously, lived in Britain with no magical presence until moving to Scotland. Soon after the move to Scotland Raleigh's sister Vanessa was born, it's currently unknown if she has any magically capabilities. A couple months after the move to Scotland where Raleigh had his first magical outburst, resulting in all the windows and mirrors and glass in the neighborhood shattering simultaneously. It was here where his parents accepted that their child was magically gifted and when they decided to show him his mothers capacity for magic. Raleigh's home life after discovering magic was filled with so much joy and wonder, he learned about magical beasts and about his mothers time in magical school.
Raleigh's family is quite interesting, with having Scottish and Korean ties. He obviously has his mother Yun and his father Noah, and his younger sister Vanessa. He has family in Korea, whom he hasn't met in person. Raleigh's Scottish side includes his grandparents, two uncles and 3 cousins, quite a bit of people at the family gatherings.
Raleigh’s first instance of magic without a wand was when he was 7, when he heard that his dad may be deployed again. His anger, sadness, and despair all formed together. This amalgamation of emotions collided together and exploded causing all of the windows, mirrors, and glass to shatter in his house.
