Elodie is a short girl with a skinny build, long wavy hair, and wiry black glasses. She has pale skin that reddens easily, brown hair streaked with blond, and bright brown eyes that look almost amber in certain lightings. She's rather small for her age and is often mistaken to be younger than 11 years old. Elodie has a small scar the top of her left hand from a rollerskating accident.

Elodie is polite and responsible, often viewed as something of a nerd. She adores muggle literature and can often be found with her nose buried in a book, leaving her somewhat isolated. She's enchanted by every aspect of wizarding life and has always been eager to learn. This leads to her often being called foolish, which Elodie doesn't mind. She's especially fond of Care of Magical Creatures, having always been an animal lover.

Elodie was born to a muggle mother and an unknown wizard father who she's never met, which is why she was raised without knowledge of the wizarding world. She was raised in a relatively middle-class home and loved exploring the rolling hills of her hometown. Along with her mother, she lived with her younger sister, a 4-year-old named Poppy, and an elderly dog she named Sir Barkington. Her mother runs a pub in the small town in which they resided, and always made enough money to support her family.

Elodie's first instance with magic was when she was nine. In that instance, she was being mocked by some older village children. Her anger and humiliation manifested into small, ugly flowers that sprouted at her feet and emitted a horrible scent. She was mortified and confused, unable to write it off as normal.
