Physical Description:
A young girl with wild brown hair. It hangs in curls that seem difficult to brush around her shoulders. Her face often holds a bright grin. She has bright green eyes and long lashes that sometimes make her look bored or sleepy when she isn’t. Rhys has a rather small frame, standing a couple of inches shorter than most their age at 4’6”ft, or 137.15cm.

The girl holds herself with the utmost confidence and a curious look to her eyes most days. She seems to dress in rather comfortable clothes most of the time, finding large sweaters and loose jeans or skirts to be favored. Finally, Rhys does have two prosthetics. Her right leg and left foot. The prosthetics are encased smooth carved wood.

Mental Description:

Rhys is a rather simple girl at first glance. She always has a goofy grin on her face and an adventurous glint to her eyes. The girl balances curiosity and adventure with a rash nature. She’s one to run into a situation without too much thought, but she’s also one to learn from her mistakes if so. Ever cheerful, Rhys doesn’t try to let mistakes put her down… Er, even if they do sometimes have poor effects for others. Of course, she can also just... whine at times! Attending a school with hundreds of steps while having a prosthetic is annoying after all.

Socially, Rhys can be a bit inept. From being overbearing to a bit blunt, the girl’s social skills are lacking in some aspects. However, when it comes to academics, she isn’t half bad! While she’d rather be doing more practical things to learn, Rhys is pretty good at reading for her age. She tends to remember most things she’s read once or twice. Of course, this doesn’t change the fact that she would much prefer to get her hands dirty.

Biography:
Rhys was born in a moderately sized town in Northern Wales. She was born missing her left leg at the hip and her right foot at the ankle due to congenital amputation. However, the girl’s rarely let that slow her down. Aside from acts of clumsiness and the realistic limitations of prosthetics, she’s spent most of her life like any other young witch would. Her father owns a potions shop hidden from muggles in the City Centre through a mural of an old cottage on the wall of a quaint cafe that her mother runs. Her mother is a muggle while her father is wizard born.

Her family life was fairly lovely growing up. While her mother and grandparents were rather overprotective of the girl, her innate sense of curiosity and adventure often led her to go out. At times, this did cause trouble- understandably. There were certainly times her father had to go out and find her crying in a park because she wasn’t used to constantly walking in her prosthetics at the time. Her father was often the one who let her do things her mother wouldn’t let her- including getting her a toy broom at a young age that would lead to her first display of magic.

Rhys’ friend group growing up was rather small. It mostly consisted of a cousin and one or two friends from primary school. Her mother’s protective streak often led to her not being able to go out with friends a lot. However, while Rhys did go out to the park at times despite this, she was perfectly content to help her father in his potions shop. Of course, she was a child so she wasn’t brewing anything. It was also rather hard to understand what exactly her father was doing when brewing, but the bright colorful mixtures and sound of a bubbling cauldron were delightful to the senses.

When she got her owl for Hogwarts, her father was proud. Rhys was excited too. It was going to be a grand adventure, right? Still, there was a small worry and sadness. She’d be unable to go to school with the few muggle friends she had. Despite that, the girl’s excitement was greater in the end, and off she went with a cheerful smile.

First Instance of Magic:
Rhys’ first display of magic happened at the age of four when her father gifted her a toy broom to hover about on. Her mother worried it’d be too dangerous as they didn’t know if Rhys was even magical yet, and in the ensuing tantrum from the young girl, she shattered a window accidentally when the broom was sent rocketing upward. While this display certainly cemented the child as magical, it also certainly made her mother less keen on the girl having a toy broom.
