Physical Description: Ender is of slightly below average height for his age at 4’6” tall, and slight of build being a mere 65lbs. His most striking and unique feature are his naturally purple eyes, a genetic aberration that occurs in his particularly family once every four or five generations. Though it should be noted that this feature is usually hidden behind his ever-present eyeglasses. He has thick hair, of a brown hew with many blond highlights, which is usually parted from left to right. He is a rather shy child often retreating to the world of books and folklore, he is particularly inept physically, and his hand/eye coordination leaves much to be desired.

Mental Description: Ender is academically gifted, being in the 99% of grades among his peers at Ludgrove School, before his acceptance to Hogwarts. He particularly excels at any task that involves memory or the recollection of facts/figures. Thus, he shone in subjects like History and Mathematics, but was far less capable with subjects such as most languages (he did do remarkably well with Latin & Greek), and anything requiring artistic expression.

Biography: Ender was born to his parents Dafydd and Anwen (nee Llewlyn). Anwen is a moderately famous Wizarding World Opera Singer, and Dafydd served the ministry of magic as an Ambassador to the Muggle Prime Minister. As such the young Ender spent far more time then was customary among Muggles, even being enrolled at the prestigious Muggle preparatory boarding school of Ludgrove. He even earned a placement at Eton due to his academic abilities, and up until his acceptance letter arrived from Hogwarts, he was to be attending Eton for the 2023 school year. Thankfully, despite showing no signs of magic around his parents, family, or house elves, he did have an incident shortly after his 10th birthday that was recorded in the Quill of Acceptance in the Book of Admittance.

The Turner family has a sprawling estate just outside Bettws Cedewain, that has been in the Turner Family since it first emigrated to the United Kingdom after the Norman conquest of the 12th century. They choose to live in Wales to distance themselves from their muggle relatives, as they were the Pure-Blooded wizarding branch of the family. The family is, like most Pure Blood families, rich beyond the understanding of most Muggles, and is serviced by a phalanx of both human and house elf servants. Raven’s Perch, the residence of the family, is most well known for its extensive library and hedge maze. The library is primarily focused on Wizard History and Wizarding/Muggle Politics and Relations, as the vast majority of the Scions of the Turner Family have served in politics and ambassadorial postings in both the Muggle and Wizarding world for most of its history. Though it does boast a rather extensive collection of Muggle Fantasy and Science Fiction books, due to Great Grandfather Errol’s obsession with the things. Incidentally Great Grandfather Errol was the last member of the Turner Family to have the distinctive purple eyes that Ender also possess. It should also be noted that Great Grandfather Errol was responsible for the choosing of Ender’s name. For on his death bed, he got to hold the child for a few moments, and declared that he looked like an Ender. Thus, Ender’s parents christened the boy with the rather strange name, not knowing anything about the books written by a muggle named Orson Scott Card, simply assuming that Great Grandfather Errol was having a vision of some kind, as he was known to have been a prodigal Diviner in his youth.

First Instance of Magic: Ender’s First Instance of Magic, came shortly after his 10th birthday, he was hosting a sleep over at the family estate with several of his closest friends (2 muggles and 3 wizards. 1 Pureblood, 1 muggle born, and 1 wizard born). After the boys had prepared for bed and were dressed in their PJs, having sprawled their sleeping bags in the library, they all prevailed upon Ender to read them a novel from his Great Grandfather’s collection of Muggle Novels. Ender, of course chose Ender’s Game, which was his favourite novel. He skipped to the very end and began reading the tale of the final battle against the Formics. As it was by far his favourite scene. As he read the library fell away replaced by an illusionary scene of space fighters and capital ships on a valiant last-ditch effort to save the human race from extinction. So great was Ender’s attachment to the story and so emotional the retelling that it caused the very weave of magic to form to the words that he spoke. To say this was a surprise to the Muggles in the room would be an understatement. As the 3 wizarding boys, having older brothers and sisters, were aware of the prohibition against underage wizardry, they all swore an oath to neve tell anyone what they saw that day. The Muggle boys agreed whole heartedly, under the condition that the next sleepover they got to pick the book they could all see. Even though both Ender and the other Wizard born tried their best to dissaude them that Ender could actually do this again. In the end this wouldn't matter, as that next sleepover was never to happen as Ender got his acceptance letter from Hogwarts.
